I dunno. It just evolved for me when I got it to max level and opened a chest. No idea what, if any, passive enabled the evolution.

Max Torrona's Box also evolves this weapon. Most people will do it on accident just naturally taking the item on a run, but the 130/130 Collection leads you to believe it doesn't evolve.

Odd, I had the birds and ran the Inverted Library and ran all the way passed the Gold Ring and such and the Trickster never spawned. I kept moved to the right for almost 10 mins and still nada. I guess I'll wait for someone to figure out the cheat code to unlock him.

[Edit[ Ran it a 2nd time. Made sure that it's Inverted, got both birds, didn't evolve them, ran waaaay to the right passed the Gold Ring and still no one at any piano. Unless I somehow managed to kill it instantly off screen...*shrugs*

[Edit 2] In a Prima Guide guide for this it states that you must beat the game first. So I'm guessing if you don't see the 15th secret aka beat the final final boss then you can't do this yet.

I am doing this right now and i found all the coffins but because i have the fireworks item and vandalier i can't see crap and keep getting stopwatches... no sign of any enemy, time is still frozen, music playing...

they should probably mark this particular enemy once it spawns, kind of annoying.

Someone already said that waaay up at the start of this thread but yes, you have to beat the final boss. Altho you don't need to turn on endless, just inverted. Also you don't *need* the birds, they tell you which keys to press sure, but the keys are always the same so you can just press them if you know the order (thus why some folks are remembering this from silent hill 1)

Assuming that reaper has the same type of HP x Level scaling as the Red Reaper the only way to kill it requires using Infinite Corridor. If you didn't evolve the Lancet, you're not killing it before the 30 minute mark.

If you did have Infinite Corridor. I'm not sure what happened. Did you clear the final boss in Eudemonia Machine? That's the other requirement to access the hidden event tied to the Piano.

Worst case you can always just use the secret menu to unlock the character via the cheat code.

No, you can kill purple death without Infinite Corridor, he just has a lot of HP so it takes awhile. Source: Me, I did this yesterday. Found him around 17 minutes and he died around 23 minutes.

Not sure if accurate, but the wiki says this specific Trickster reaper has 2,550 hp multiplied by your current player level for a health pool.

What were you attacking him with for 10 minutes and didn't kill him?

I really recommend you at least have two evolved weapons before looking for the purple death because he is an HP sponge. I used La Borra and Unholy Vespers which did the trick just fine. I think the accessories I had were empty tome, candelabra, duplicator, spellbinder, spinach, and attractorb.

The only thing you need to do beforehand is pair Peachone and Ebony Wings together.

I banished them both at rank 8 so they wouldn't evolve as I have no idea if evolving them breaks them from showing the piano keys to click.

When you have Peachone + Ebony Wings, you go to the right of the Gold Ring to find the purple death, kill him, then get close to the piano. Stay away from the Gold Ring so you don't aggro the guardian and waste time having to deal with him.

The birds will fly and stick to a specific key, Peachone goes on the white keys, Ebony Wings goes on the black keys

You just click where they stick and you get teleported in a dark room full of coffins

Open the correct coffin and the music changes, the weird shadow skulls vanish, and time will pause

Important to note time pauses when Avatar Infernas shows up, so you can take a breath. Not sure if endless prevents Avatar from being unlockable or not, so I just did it without endless.

He's easier to kill than the purple death so honestly it shouldn't be that tough.

I managed to kill him too, I don't remember if I had infinite corridor, but yes, it was possible.
I played in Endless, so that is possible for anyone who wonders. It gives you plenty time to level as much up as you can/want.

I also didn't use the pigeons, I just looked up the Silent Hill 1 piano puzzle , because during the run I forgot to get them.
Beating Avatar Infernas was no issue at all by then.
