can you kill red death?

im currently doing a gold run,
with
laurel, vicious hunger
crown, mask, attractorb, skull, torronas box, empty tome, gold ring and metaglio right
Wicked season, disco of gold, silent old sanctuary
lvl 510

im currently at 76mins, 8.9mil gold, can you kill the red deaths with vicious hunger?
or will this just be an unending gold farm?

You'll kill em eventually but it doesn't end the game as long as you don't use Crimson Shroud or Infinite Corridor to do so.

Yeah, if you're not in Cappella Magna, you might as well quit the run. In any other level your gold gains are drastically reduced after the 30-minute mark.

Whether you can kill red reapers with Vicious Hunger (in an acceptable time frame) depends on whether you have Limit Break on, and whether you used it to increase Hunger's Might. But, as Aristocratic Cthulhu said, without Crimson Shroud or Infinite Corridor you won't trigger the White Hand end of run. You can keep going indefinitely, regardless of your ability to kill red reapers, the limitations of your system (and your patience) notwithstanding.

i gave up after 90mins and 100.000.000 gold, seemed too slow gain at that point. might try again after some more eggs

Try Capella Magna, which has swarms of trainees in addition to the main man.

was the one i was in (the one with angels right?)
my gold fevers only gave 150-200k a fevers. after the 30min mark, but my big trousers only have around 3k eggs

In that case, try it on a different stage in order to give yourself some perspective. Seriously, Death-farming is only worthwhile if you leave it to run overnight or some other method of not actually playing the game. As you just found.
