What is your most disliked weapon and why?
Hey I am curious what other players think?

I really dislike knife since it is somehow underwhelming compared to other weapons. As well projectile speed that comes from brace you have to get to upgrade it is not always useful.

Early game, it's absolute trash range, damage and consistency, it has higher cooldown when you're not moving, meaning you have to be walking to get the most out of your DPS, but since it only fires in front of you, you have to walk towards enemies, and on inverse mode, they just don't die, so you're constantly getting hit while trying to do even a little damage every now and then, and as a result, you can't level up fast enough to keep up with the increasing mobs. At least with the other garbage weapons like Shadow Pinion and Cross, you can keep your distance, but Vento Sacro is just awful.
Oh that weapon is awful. It does absolutely pathetic damage.

I used to not like cats but they can at least get to a point where I feel they're useful
Even evolved I dislike pinion and birds
Yep, same here

Pretty much, but that usually requires using the Max HP buff (unless you're using Minnah), so you have to sacrifice a much better support item to use it. So I still hate it lol. I only use it on stages where Max HP buff is an on-stage pickup.

I made a Concetta run earlier and discovered that if you're willing to use two different input methods to control the game, you can use keyboard to lay Shadow Pinion and then just click the left mouse button to fire it at will in your current facing direction.

Valkyrie Turner, on the other hand, is absolute dog bollock, probably due to a bug; it whiffs a lot of the time when fired, on targets that Shadow Pinion would have just straight up obliterated.

I tried this recently and it made Shadow Pinion an amazing weapon. Pair it with the Arcana that gives it explosive effects, and it absolutely shreds bosses like no other. KB+M master race FTW, just sayin'

Since this thread refuses to die, i might as well add another weapon i hate. Cats suck. everyone keeps throwing out the "oh, but if you feed the cats and build luck they stop murdering you" but what if i wanted a weapon that didn't murder me in the first place? In the time it took me to feed them enough chicken(the cat RNG also seems to hate picking up chicken) the cats did so much damage to me it actually ate my entire life and forced me to use my revive. This with fully upgraded clover btw. La Borra does the same job anyway.

Mate, the only time Gatti Amari is going to ever actually do enough damage to you to kill you is if you're playing Cosmo or anyone with less max HP than Cosmo.

I had them kill me when I did a single weapon run with them.

Clock Lancet, so frekkin' boring. Anything that makes the monsters freeze are boring. I can understand the freeze effect and the benefits but it's just a hold up on the whole rythm (Spelling? Sorry, I'm from Sweden!) of the run.

Knives are boring to...like...nothing happens. Feels like throwing a non-chewed bubbelgum at an elephant, nothing happens.

You can make it explode with an arcana and you can run into the frozen enemies to get protection from damage and increase your dps in certain builds.

What I get out of all this is that most of you really dont realise how powerful certain combos and weapons are, some really bad takes in this thread alright.

Also seems nobody here likes weapons that require any positioning or actual thought to use efficiently.

Bible becomes worse with level, so i really don't like it in the late game. But it's amazing early.
Celestial Dusting and cart also kinda seem to suck for me.

Pinion least favorite. The damage doesn't justify the needed movement. If it did scythe/slash levels of damage maybe, but trying to constantly move and line up shots for low, mediocre damage isn't worth.

There are a lot of meh weapons, but I don't necessarily dislike them.

Had a strange nightmare last night where Gatti Amari was one-shotting my character.

It... does, especially since the weapon's cooldown scales with your Movement Speed and you can just lay with keyboard and fire with left mouse button.

Shadow Pinion will delete bosses if rapid-fired at them.

Nobody cares about bosses though. The game is entirely about not getting swarmed. You aren't pushing out 450 damage pinions in all directions. Not even close.

I shouldn't give the impression that a skill must reach that damage threshold since slash/scythes are one of the hardest hitting attacks in the game. The point is more that one clears the screen while standing AFK, the other needs constant movement and manipulation. For the amount of effort needed, it should be able to clear the screen as well as slash/scythes.

For me personally, it is not a satisfying skill to use. I don't enjoy putting in more effort for low damage.

I mean yeah, Lancet for example is basically invulnerability with enough area and CDR provided you always move toward the clock direction. But.. then you are stuck always moving towards the clock direction.. Other weapons keep you safe without any effort.

Vento Sacro is another that you are best rapidly tapping up and down to get the CDR without screwing up your position.

I guess if you want the most powerful build you'd always build stuff like Lancet or Vento, usually though I just want to autopilot with minimal effort until close to the end. Also some maps don't really allow for any positioning.

For me.. I hate the basic Magic Wand, don't really see when its ever useful besides maybe with Waltz but then it performs just onpar other weapons..

And yet the only things that should ever have a chance at "swarming" you, no matter what weapon you're using, are bosses; basically, anything with HPxLevel, which won't get swatted away by something as pathetically basic as Garlic.

Llama_Over_Lord is right, there are a lot of bad takes in this thread.
