Yes, there are enemies called "Red Reaper Trainees" that spawn post 30 minutes on Capella Magna from which you can still get gold from killing.
This isn't a truly "infinite" gold farm as given enough time eventually the spawn limit will be hit by all of the deaths resulting in none of the other mobs (the mini death, or as the above poster called them "Red Reaper Trainees") spawning, meaning nothing will die for long periods and no gold will be generated. This is why it is generally best to NOT try to do an "infinite" farm with hurry mode enabled if you intend to let your game farm for more than 4 hours or want to maximise your gold gain while AFK.
Without hurry mode you'll still be generating a lot of gold for well over 8 hours though.
Also, as stated explicitly earlier in this thread, the White Hand event only starts if you kill a Death after damaging it with Infinite Corridor or Crimson Shroud. If you don't have either of those weapons, the death will simply die like any other mob and the game will continue, spawning another death every minute on the clock.
True, but it *can* be if a character gets so over-powered through eggs and limit break that you can kill a Death before a minute. Even still, as long as you can kill them eventually the rate at which the run has diminished returns is a lot slower. I've run over night (roughly 11 hours) and racked up 20 million in one run. It could have kept going too, and I can do an ever better run now.
That being said, hurry mode will make a death spawn every 30 seconds, and even with limit breaks and a lot of eggs killing them faster than that, especially with a lot of curse and levels (for the limit breaks) is very unlikely, resulting in the same outcome.
If you plan to leave it running over night, I think this would be a pretty good one to add in.
Also the Vicious Hunger may be converting the spawned exp? Does anyone know - I'm not 100% sure but I do seem to trickle in more gold while it's warming up?
If it does, then this eliminates any concerns of spawn limits. Since it's fully self-sustaining.
Since Pentagram and Gorgeous Moon doesn't affect Deaths (it may do static amount of 666 damage IIRC, but it never kills them outright), it doesn't get around the spawn limit issue.
Personally, I feel that I get better results from Capella Magna than the Bone Zone, but that has the huge disclaimer that I am not willing to babysit Limit Break in the Bone Zone and setting it to Random Always right off will not work as well as actually picking Might as often as possible. This is on Giovanna with something in the ballpark of 416% Might before bonuses, 570 with Spinach, Torrona's Box, SIlent Old Sanctuary (four locked slots).
I was level 174, 88830 gold.
I woke up at 176 and 153299 gold.
I don't think I had the might to kill a single Death during that time since I didn't get any eggs. It was just a pure survival mode character. A far throw from the 20 million gold or so that Gr3atsaga got in one run.
Ah that may be why then. It would be busted if you could egg farm over night.
I didn't bother to take note of my kills since the Trainees were still spawning when I left it.
In that case, wondering how I could have possibly increased my gold count any more. Is it just purely killing them faster, do Deaths drop gold if killed via normal means?
Deaths do not drop gold, as far as I'm aware. The way AFK farming works is Vicious Hunger breaks the light sources spawning just outside your field of view, and grabs the spawning coins and money bags for you. Additionally, enemies killed by Vicious Hunger have a chance to turn into gold (according to the wiki). So Luck helps, as does Greed and Curse.
Vicious Hunger is too weak to kill Deaths on its own, without Limit Breaking. Some enemies are completely unaffected by Gorgeous Moon, and I have a hunch that Death is one of those.
In my situation, where I have 36k eggs on Peppino, Limit Breaking anything manually is too much of a hassle when I just want to get my AFK farm started, and selecting Random Always can cause lag with excessive Area selections. So I don't Limit Break. I get Vicious Hunger, Laurel, and Clock Lancet, and pick Disco of Gold and Out of Bounds. Only Gold Ring and Right Metaglio in addition to the normal passive items. I'm good to mostly AFK after the first two minutes, after which I only have some chests to pick up.
I'm curious if anyone has tested whether it is necessary to fully level Laurel to become invincible with 90% CDR. I might have to test myself, because that could be a few more levels for Limit Break.
