Nduja Fritta doesn't stop, what gives?

Like topic, I began a run in the Dairy Plant with Red Death and picked up a Nduja in about the first minute, I'm now in my 12th minute without it ever having stopped spamming fire. I mean it's helpful and all, but I'm curious as to why it doesn't stop. Any thoughts?
