i could use some help with a couple of secrets

the with a pure heart and two good friends, visit the fiery balcony in cappella magna
and 3) sometimes you just need to ask for help.
for the first one i assume i should use the guns but i haven't a clue where the balcony is or what to do there exactly, and the second one i have absolutely no idea what to do.

Hint: do not have high cholesterol clogging their arteries.
Answer: Pick somebody who doesn't have gold eggs.

Hint: follow you wherever you go.
Answer: Get Peachone and Ebony Wings.

A fiery balcony...
Hint: is a spicy find up there.
Answer: Is located next to a Nduja Fritta north of the Tiragisu.

The flamethrower is just above where you pick up Crown and Tiragisu, it's visible on the map when you start a run. Pick up the flamethrower and break the barrier that's directly below it. Walk down and the new character to unlock is there, can't miss it. You also need to be using a character that hasn't picked up any eggs, hence the "pure heart" part.
I used Exdash (starts with Ebony Wings), got lucky on first level up and picked Peachone then ran to the area.. had it unlocked in a couple minutes.

ok, no egg character, got the two birds, grabbed the flamethrower, and nothing happened, the gate is still up and i can't get through it

Not sure what else to suggest. Lots of people said they did it with ExDash. I used Divano. I didn't approach the gate area until I had both birds, though. Maybe back away one screen's length and come back?

You would have had to use the flamethrower on the gate.

Are you using a character without eggs or are you turning eggs off?

oh well, sometimes it's like that, at least it's done now :) you got the other one you were after unlocked no problems?

Ok, I don't have a character with 0 eggs and the wiki indicates that turning eggs off doesn't count.
I'd rather not do it by entering the spell/cheat code.

If you have enough eggs in general there's apparently a thing in Moongolow that will let you remove some.

Checking the wiki.... You need a character with 5000 eggs.
I don't even have that many across all characters. I've got between 7 and 30 per character.
