Something I've noticed in the new stage.
So during a run on the new stage, Cappella Magna, I noticed that it's possible to break the stained glass windows that depict a cross on them. What's more when you travel to a new "room" in the map the same windows will be broken there as well. This made me wonder if there is some sort of secret to breaking them all, like perhaps it will stop Blue Death or something. I could only get one run in before I had to leave for work (I'm typing this on my phone), so I wanted to get this out there for anyone else to try.

It's entirely possible that whatever is suppose to happen when you break the windows hasn't been added yet. They did say there will be two more iterations of the stage. I just wanted to check and make sure.

I feel like they could always add something involving it later, since the breaking of the glass feels like an intentional inclusion.

as far as I know, breaking the glass is like starting the carts in the dairy farm. It does damage to mobs inside it.

What would someone who isn't hiding a secret say?

They do a little bit of AoE damage when they break. It's a very small area and small amount of damage, but it seems to go vertically (like Song of Mana).

I thought they might be intended to use to kill the Drowner (you call it "Blue Death") that appears early in the stage, because he always keeps distance from you, you can simply position him by windows and let your axes or w/e smash the windows and deal damage to the Drowner.

But I've had far more success dealing with the Drowner using the Crucifixes scattered on the ground leading south. Just have to draw him up to the first Crucifix at about 10:00, and pick it up, and poof- goodbye, Drowner. This was how I was able to reach the coffin.

It seems highly unlikely to have a secret linked to the windows since they respawn at random. Can't really have a "break them all for a secret" when they're random like that.

Yea, I just got back from work and after doing another run it seems the windows do respawn, so it seems my theory of them unlocking something is out the window.

Not necessarily, the eventual secret could just involve breaking a certain number of them in total, like the character who's starting req was eating 100 floor chickens.

"There is no secret"
or, "there is no secret, yet."

I discovered this game late but I love it and it has a kick ass soundtrack, Even the kazoo tracks are still legendary.
