Which character did you focus your eggs on and why?

Originally I wasnted to make marrabbio broken with them for fun. But then I unlocked peppino and it became my mission to make the tree absolutely busted. 700 eggs later, it's coming along nicely. I don't really know why I wanted to do it with marrabbio but the killer tree is just funny to me. I still have to hurry to get wings even with the movement speed only being down to -50 percent since the curse stacked up on me but after the opening few minutes my tree is just ridiculously powerful. Especially if I get La Borra early.

Ehhh, Pugnala. She's easy mode. !% might per level is always useful.

People are suggesting basing on their preference, but looking at what's most effective I'd say either reaper, smith or pugnala (or any of the other scaling characters).

Reaper because of movespeed and item, it makes moongalow farming really fast at the start. Pugnala because of guns + might (and other % per level scaling), and smith because of his capella magna farming potential (and he also scales with level).

I started with reaper, farming on moongalow, until around 500-600 eggs, then went to bone zone and farmed gold + eggs, gold went into pugnalla, started at around 200k gold I guess per run, don't really remember, and eventually I started farming bone zone with pugnalla, got her to around 2k eggs, and started pumping into smith.

Now Smith can go infinite basically at capella, and pull around 1.4-1,5m in 35-40min, and overnight it goes bonkers.

Smith is by far the best, but starting with him is hard since he has very low HP without eggs.

But today I have:
8k eggs on Pugnalla
4.8k eggs on Smith
2.8k eggs on Death

And I'm gonna start farming on giovanna for the %speed per level, which will be bonkers as well xD

The more eggs you get, the easier it becomes to get more eggs, just the start is slow.

Well, they did ask which character you put your eggs on first, not which one would be a good target for them.

I started with Zi'Assunta, I liked the uncapped increase to Omni stats (0.5% every level)... but then I found out about Smith. (Smith gains -0.25 cooldown, 0.7% Omni, 1% luck, and 0.01 recovery every level.) My Smith now has 1k eggs, and he's quite OP enough to my liking. I've since also given Toastie and Leda a thousand eggs each, mostly out of curiosity. Neither of them is quite as OP as Smith, but both are certainly interesting, and I'm considering giving both more. Leda already kills the guardians fast. Just waiting to see what the next update brings.

Cavallo was the first to get a few hundred for big cherry bombs, but when Sir Ambrojoe came out, he got a few thousand because throwing furniture at monsters was the weapon I never knew I always wanted.

Personally, I chose Leda because I got Eggs on him in the first place by accident.

Practically, I'd recommend Giovanna because of her native weapon being Gatti Amari. On top of Vicious Hunger being central to Gold Runs, once you get high enough base stats it can Alt+F4 low level Guardians like nobody's business, to the point of being able to beat Leda's Holy Wand in damage dealt.

Smith. Whenever anyone asks what the best character is for almost anything, the answer is Smith. You can't really beat a character who gains might, duration, projectile speed, area, cooldown, regen and luck with every level, all uncapped.
