Can't get Pugnala's evolved weapon?

I got both of Pugnala's wing weapons as far as they'll go, and I unlocked the Tiragisu arcana, and equipped it, but the game still doesn't recognize I have it and thus Pugnala's weapon won't have the mega version unlock.

What gives?
Even the wiki says it should so what's the deal? And I know it's working cause I have the 3 revivals. Ran out the clock 3x but the game just doesn't give it to me.

Edit: Not talking about bad luck, the Tiragisu in the Grimoire doesn't even light up. Y'know, where it shows what combines into what.

Did you get the Tiragisu passive item? You don't need the awake arcana to evo.

You NEED the passive item. Arcana effects do not count for evolution requirements.

The arcanas and the revive you buy in powerups menu do not count. You have to pick up the tiragisu item during level up/on certain levels on the floor.

As mentioned above , it's the tiragisu passive item, not the awake arcana. Also, you must evolve it while it's still in your inventory. If you get it, then die (using up the revives it grants), it will vanish/leave your inventory, opening up a slot for another item, but also no longer being available to grant the evolution (so if you plan on using the awake arcana and the tiragisu item to boost your might by using up the revives, you must evolve the guns first or be stuck without the laser party)

It's actually possible to get Tiragisu at level up after having lost it by dying, believe it or not.

Its only possible if you didnt fully upgraded it. Than you can repeat this every time

From the Vampire Survivors Wiki: If you die with Tiragisú and haven't fully upgraded it, it will disappear from the inventory but you can get it again through a level up. The level cap resets and you can repeat it as many time as you like. However, due to its low rarity, repeating this exploit consistently is unlikely.

pretty much this yeah, what you can do though is intentionally die after you upgraded to free up another passive, which works nicely with the arcane. although you better be sure your build is solid by then

Finally got it.
Gotta admit though guys, when the wiki and guides all just say "get tiragisu" and then say you get it by having a character reach minute 20, and you unlock an Arcane of the same freaking name... it'd be easy to get confused.

They're named differently. Awake is the arcana, tiragisu is the passive. They both give revives, which are a stat. The arcana shows a tiragisu icon on its effected items list because it gives the same stat. I get why you would get confused, but they are named differently.

The wiki doesn't use Tiragisu's icon for Awake.

wiki and guides are user made and not guaranteed to have accurate info.

Anything related to "revival" in the game uses the same icon as Tiragisu. I always love watching when I collect an egg and it gives me "0.01 revive" lol. Don't stress on it champ. You got it now. Now go pick Krochi after you buy the revive in the powerup section and get max level Tiragisu with the evolved guns. You'll love it if you can pull it off.

The game also uses the weapon icons of the weapons that particular arcana affects but they don't give you that weapon or let you use it it for attacks or evolving without grabbing the weapon from leveling up.

Same thing for the arcanas that affect the area, duration, and projectile speeds.
