Crimson Shroud or Infinite Corridor?

Another comparison thread folks, but first just one Rule:

ABSOLUTELY NO GOLDEN EGGS DISCUSSIONS

Why I even have to state this in the first place is borderline asinine but apparently there are people who need to be told to directly as they're just way too out there.

Anyway, let's just focus on the two new Evolutions. Which do you prefer? And no saying, "But you need both to kill Death durr kedurr!", doesn't count. Let's just keep it as a discussion of which of the two you'd want to have as a mainstay of your non-Death Killing builds.

Me personally I like Crimson Shroud.

Infinite corridor. I played witch Crimson Shroud on high curse and found out you are actually not invulnerable with this item. And you even don't need Shroud to kill death, but without Corridor you must use some kind of low lvl build witch is mean you gonna be without Shroud anyway.

The Crimson Shroud is a neat item, but it's overshadowed in every way by the infinite corridor. While you may still need a Laurel to beat death, the fact is you don't need it upgraded with the infinite corridor, the infinite corridor can do the full job on it's own and still insanely useful outside of that throughout the round.

While the Crimson Shroud has a neat name, and the damage reduction is neat... I can't say I prefer it over the Infinite Corridor, it's just way too awesome in comparison.

1. Golden Eggs are boss, don't hate.
2. You don't need both for Red Death. Shroud/shield helps protect you while you line up Infinite Corridor but it's Corridor which does the DPS (I have a SS of doing 160m damage with it).

3. Infinite Corridor. It has the highest DPS and sure.. Crimson Shroud can clutch a few situations.. but outside of Red Death nothing really should be killing you quick enough that you can't sub other items in for it.

4. Golden Eggs.

Infinite corridor obviously. Shroud is kinda redundant when you take golden eggs into consideration as well. Ooops lol

Me personally I like Crimson Shroud.

It's sufficient one of those 2 upgrades to kill red death, if one of those is missing it isn't a big trouble... Anyway for me infinite corridor cause it's a more offensive oriented weapon

I'm at 1.1k and i have stopped actively grinding. I'm immune to damage from normal mobs. With disco i can face tank a egg guardian or two. Green death can kill you if you are afk or something. Curse increases health, speed and number but not damage so you just get more armour then they can get through at a certain point.

I never bothered getting toastie. I unlocked red death with clerici and then was like wtf do i need toastie for.

I don't use Red Death, he's cool and all but I prefer Pugnala for her 1% might per level which scales hilariously later on. I suppose Toastie is a hilarious challenge character to play if you want something which has a power creep which is a sheer cliff.

I've never checked it myself but you may find this information on the reddit post and on the wiki. And it looks pretty logical to me, cause after you kill one red death with corridor all other disappears, you get golden eggs and white ghost appears after 12 bell strikes(like ghost is connected to clock lancet).

Infinite corridor by far it acts as a much better utility item providing both offense and defense. It also has 2 arcanas that you can easily build into to create a much stronger build that facilitates the weapon, out of bounds + crystal jail easily is one of the better builds right now with its mix of defense and offense allowing you to forgo defensive options to slot in more offensive weapons or passives. In higher curses Infinite Corridors is a huge boon as there is little cooldown while it halves the enemy HP to make mobs at 180-190+ much more easily dispatched without having to rely on well timed Gorgeous Moon deletions. To give an idea you can sit still on 140% curse, with only base armor, health, and regen, on the bonezone at the 28-29 minute mark as enemies will be deleted with ease without threatening to end your run.

Whereas crimson shroud really only has itself and its passives, of which the extra HP and HP regen is of lower value than Silver ring's AoE and Duration and lacks any arcana to compliment it at the moment. And to be blunt survival isn't as difficult right now not even because of eggs (which just adds another power creep) but because arcanas like Awakening or Disco Gold (both of which are easily slotted and the former has been one of the more dominant arcanas due to how strong you can get from it while the latter can out heal full curse 28-29 minute bonezone and has made the challenge map considerably more accessible) and just the power creep of builds.
