Personally I skip any passives I don't feel are necessary. Mainly defensive ones, and only go for the rings (ignore arrows)
Taking only necessary upgrades lowers the RNG chance that you won't get chances to upgrade rings or clock. Of course once you get better magnet/exp gains you can probably just take everything.
Also, I think the main reason people hate pugnala is because you have to manuever a bit to get the most out of the dual guns, whereas for some of the other options they'll just kindof do their thing and annihilate.
Lol yeah, I farmed ~100 eggs spread across a few chars and I think i'm done... already 105/105, still a very fun game but I don't see a point to egg farming although i was a bit excited about getting a gold sink.
Toastie because hitting level 100 is a game changer if you can make the early game easier.
Poppea because song of mana is probably the best overall weapon without dependency on Arcana drops or support items or other weapons. IMO. And her scaling is great.
