How do you hurt the green grim reaper?

Pentagram/Gorgeous Moon. Victory sword can kill it with retaliation damage. The screen clearing pickup. The Minecarts in Dairy Plant. Possibly a few others too.

Green Death (Stalker) has 2550 hp times {your level} when it spawns, so its tanky, but not that tanky.

The Cross can (the item which can drop from candles, fire pits, etc) will wipe him out.

Yeah, in general just instakill items. Without those, you typically have to run away from him until he despawns, though certain event spawns can have special rules.

If you're trying to unlock Toastie you should know Pentagram DOESN'T make her pop out of the lower right corner of your screen so don't rely on that. Either you ram a minecart at Stalker, or use a Rosary at him or evolve Pentagram into Gorgeous Moon as that does work.

Yes it does. That's how I unlocked Toastie. Pentagram has 2 modes. Erase, and Kill. If it erases, then it might not pop up. I haven't tested it, but I do know pentagram works.

You've probably had it leveled up a bit BEFORE it triggered with Stalker on Screen as level 1 or 2 Pentagram doesn't trigger it.

Pentagram has a base chance not to erase, even at level 1.

I guess they changed how to unlock her because when she was first added to the game you couldn't unlock her using Pentagram, you lucky newbies...

Not from what I've heard. I've been playing since April 20th, 2022. I've found articles from April 29th that say you can use it or gorgeous moon.

I was dealing no damage to it, It could have had 1 HP and still not died.

Outside of Capella Magna it cannot be hit with normal weapons, only insta kill weapons or retaliation damage (at least Victory Sword's retaliation damage works).
