Which weapons are the most overpowered?

The only weapon I think you can make a case for being legitimately overpowered is Song of Mana/Mannajia. I'm not sure it actually IS overpowered, but it's valuable right from the start and only gets better with upgrades. There are undoubtedly better weapons when we're comparing fully upgraded ones, but most of those require the evolution before they become good, Song is the one that will solo carry you there while also continuing to contribute all the way to the end.

pentagramm evolution in addition with cooldown reduction; then add any weapon that keeps the enemy at distance at close range (garlic; bible; axes (+evolution) and you basically got a free run by standing still

Guns evolved into spinning laser death is incredibly powerful

Evolved santa water is easily the best DPS in the game, get the aoe buff passive as well for extra lols.

Evolved birds, amazing dps.

Song is better than bible imo, unless you require the knock back (you should not), esp with the aoe buff passive, its massive.

Lightning ring.

pentagram evolved into moon.

get those 6 and you are doing the best dps you can do, nothing will get close on any level. if you dont like pentagram, drop it for probably bible, its a bit pants, but you dont really need the dps but the knock back if nice.

If map allows extra passives, get calelabrum and tome as well if you can.


Of course, its hard to tell the most op weapons, because with this build there is no point taking things like bible if you dont need the knockback, nothing will reach them. the shear amount of screen wide AOE you have means everything melts before it gets close.

i was a big fan at the start of the game, but garlic is useless after the first few minutes, wasted slots.
pistols, pentagram and bible are my go to weapons. light ring to top it off, the rest is bonus.

Nothing beats Song early game, not even Garlic.

As for late game it's usually either Phier or Borra, though as of now it seems Borra might be the king due to the speed scaling Arcana.

Hellfire with Heart of Fire is really strong as well but yeah Borra is something else at this point nothing even comes close.

I don't think any weapon is overpowered.

That being said - Garlic gives you the most consistent value throughout an entire run.

1. Early game it will 1 or 2 shot any trash enemy, which means you can farm levels quickly by just walking over enemies. It will push away bosses or exploding ghosts, keeping you more safe as you hunt the trash for XP.
2. Mid-game, once you evolve it, it will keep you alive if you make a mistake, while still 1-shotting any trash.
3. Lategame it retains it's ability to keep you topped off, allowing you more leeway in moving through crowds and it also retains the knockback component, which helps with clearling. While it's damage becomes not entirely meaningful, hopefully by that time you would have abused it's early/midgame effectiveness and got the rest of your build doing enough damage to mitigate that.

Anyone who disregards Garlic is crazy. Comments like "Bible is a better Garlic" fail to understand that the difference between consistent value and lategame return. Bible needs to evolve to really shine, while Garlic does the work all the time.

The only weapon that could possibly be viewed as OP and only if you disregard the RNG needed to evolve it is the Pentagram, because it's evolved form breaks the game if you get it early enough.

Combined bird by far since even on their own their good early game and decent mid game but by the time you combine them both it easily has the highest dps out of anything in the game. What also makes it insane is that it opens up a weapon slot once you combine them and you are not required a passive to combine them either.

Would put evolved santa water at 2nd place since I never actually seen it beat bird dmg in any of my games so far. Not to mention if you do want to run it you need to pick up a trash passive. Like actual santa water is not good early game or even mid game imo it only becomes good once you get it evolved.

I don't know what you're smoking. Bird is useless and weak and the water is strong from the first level. And the passive is not trash, it speeds up collection of xp to accelerate your upgrades, and to grab chickens and other power ups from afar. Heck I can't even get the birds to upgrade since it's so useless I never get a run to the end. Closest I got was one upgrade away, and I had to do it in the level where nothing moves.

La Borra is pretty much the best even if you don't use it properly. It practically melts enemies, Vandalier is great too.

La Borra with the speed Arcana literally covers the entire screen every 10 seconds. Add the duration Arcana too and your screen's going to be completely blue for the rest of the run. That combo will be harder to assemble as more Arcanas get added, but speed is the most important one, and presumably there will also be others that improve the weapon as more get added.

It will easily put out 70-80k DPS even on a "bad" run. Nothing else comes anywhere close to that.

Sorry but no.

Garlic is pointless early if you can just learn to move, and later on its absolutely useless. Nothing should be living and manage to get that close to you.

Garlic has a place, most players will love it when they start playing, its a great helper, but if you want to hit high levels and big gold amounts, and huge kill numbers, you ditch it.

you only take Garlic if you cant survive to the 30mins point. Because it makes your early game easier until you get better.

Any player who puts garlic in an endgame build is gimping their potential build 2 slots (weapon and passive), because not only does the weapon suck, the passive is pointless. At least things like wand have awesome passive items any build wants.

La Borra always seems to be my top overall dps. I am surprised that people use the slot on garlic as its dps late game is virtually non existent, for the last few minutes almost any other weapon would be better, but its cool to see variety of opinion :)
