Cat Evolution - Bug or Feature?

So I noticed with the Cat evolution that the eyes run over exp crystals but the EXP is just gone: I do not get EXP and the eyes do not convert them to money so is this a bug or a feature I am missing?

I understood it as it turns everything into money. Everything. But it's not a 1:1 conversion rate from what I can tell. It's a chance it seems to me. Probably influenced by luck.

Ideally this update essentially adds a build for people that need money for upgrades. Pointless for people that already maxed out.

The gold rush card and evolved cat with pentagram and get the tome then just go afk, ez money.

I just hate babysitting the cats to get them anywhere near good compared to other weapons, it like playing a Dreamstealing Vampire in Skyrim vs making a Good whacking sword.

I am really dissappointed with the Gatti Amari evolution. it takes away every reason of picking Gatti Amari. less AoE, less DPS (presumably; since DPS is always relative to the situation and which weapons you have), worst of all, less catness.

Gold VERY QUICKLY becomes irrelevant. I was able to max all power-ups besides curse when I had less than half the unlocks available a month ago, which the total has probably doubled by now.

These devs are smart though IMO. they will probably add a bigger purpose for gold.

It's an unbelievable piece of crap because it's clearly intended to generate gold, but if you upgrade it, you end up with SIGNIFICANTLY LESS GOLD in a full run because you don't get the bonus coin bags from extra levels.

I thought the original Gatti was crap because it could hit you, but this is 10x worse. There is no reason to ever take it, for ANY REASON, in it's current state other than just to get the achievement.

It's pretty bad. But I didn't notice any gold at all from it or xp disappear? idk, it was one of my final upgrades in the run. Was still getting tons of exp after evolving it.

That gold rush Arcana is way better for getting gold and it's more fun. I hope they redo this evolution, doubt it, but I think it's lame. I was hoping the cats would turn into like Manticores or Lions or something and do something cool. Instead they're just turned into lame eyeballs that bounce around. As if we don't already have plenty of that (especially adding in Arcana that adds bounce to many weapons).

Still the best way of making gold is lvl 200 Toasty, position the candles slightly off screen so they respawn and get destroyed by cats, AFK for a day or two, then collect 100's of thousands gold.

a few good streaks from the gold arcana is all you need to buy everything (a little over 230k total). I've gotten several streaks between 20 and 40 thousand. if you build specifically for it, you can probably unlock everything in a few hours. This would depend on what you have unlocked already though so I don't know. just unlocking the gold arcana seems pretty late-game as it is.

Evolved cat kinda stinks. My guess is it'll get a buff at some point. Right now, standard cat with proper support (spellbinder, bracer) out performs evolved in nearly every way. Turning exp into the "gold" exps that gorgeous moon makes would be a neat way to fix its main problem while staying on theme.
