I have a gold coin, hidden inside a candelabra, that I know is worth, like, a lot, and I would gladly give that up to get that login power up, those Survivors are just too tough to beat normally.
I remember when you would buy a game (at a box store) and on day 1 (release day), you would get 'the full monty', everything the game has to offer, right out of the box. We would occasionally get little 'atta boy' gifts, like note pads or tiny figurines as a thank you from the game developers.
Now it feels like the industry is just trying to figure out how they can increase profits even more, while turning out garbage. Day 1 patches, Day 1 DLCs, Day 1 loot boxes, and Premium (the full game) and Standard (crippled edition of the game) versions. Plus the added garbage of 'Live Services' and 'Online only' play, because, you know, they don't want people to 'cheat' and play the game they want.
/Rant Off
Sorry about that, I just have to vent now and then about how the gaming scene has changed and, in my opinion, not for the better.
Back to our regularly scheduled fun. :-)
(OOC:) Considering the chest opening animation in this game, Vampire Survivors absolutely is trying to undermine all that nonsense. I absolutely want poncle to feel appreciated for his positive contribution -- a lot of people are going to be able to unhook themselves from toxic compulsive gaming habits by using VS as part of their treatment.
I agree with all you said, but I also think a major problem is a sense of self respect a lot of players don't have anymore. A lot of the silly theatrics in this thread are kind of meant to be a nod to that lack of self-respect or refusal to empower oneself by playing or doing something that feels good to do. (as opposed to both whining on a forum about a game that's fundamentally broken like the Evil Dimension version of Vampire Survivors, or compulsively spending money on a game that makes them one of tens of thousands effectively powerless players instead of something that uplifts or inspires them.)
Thanks for reading <3 back to reverse VS shenanigans. Thank goodness we got our timeline's version.
about as off-topic as ya can get.
farming steam awards about a typical reddit thread that derails is not cool.
Thanks for your valuable input.
Sorry but fun is allowed here. I would appreciate you cease this discrimination against monsterkind thank you, have a nice day.
You remember that one guy who figured out how to unlock the Red Reaper and keeps Kill Stealing us at 30 minute mark? ... He sometimes rolls around with the survivors too, and he's OPAF, he starts off with a weapon that is normally locked out, and just murders all of us from the get go!
We encountered this guy...
Literally stood still, he didn't move a muscle ONCE.
We tried again and again, but he just sat there... its like he was afk the entire match...
So after 30 minutes big brother comes in to curb stomp the guy... and... it didn't even move... about a minute or so later bro had other bro come help him, this went on for a while... after like 40 minutes into the match... big bro was beaten, they actually killed a full on reaper class build... they are supposed to be almost like a GM coming to help us... I mean we eventually got the guy... but it took another 10 minutes before enough of the reapers came in to swarm him down.
Are you seriously suggesting a Bone Zone build when people are already struggling?
Look, everybody always wants to be fast, but NOBODY ever thinks about the tanks. I'm running a green zombie build from early in the Mad Forest. People are so obsessed with going fast that they forget to bulk up. Yes, the green cloak slows you down, but the health, armor, and knockback resist goes a LONG way. Yes, closing the distance is a bit hard sometimes, and the survivors will try to kite around you, but when the bat swarm noobs give you a push from behind you can sometimes catch them off guard!
