Tips on how to unlock Exdash (the legit way)

Does anyone have any tips on how to maximize the chances of getting Exdash?
I've read that you can unlock it by picking Luck clovers off the ground.

The code is a reference to a code from Castlevania SoTN that you could put in the name entry to alter the game, and is the developer intended way to unlock the character. Clues to this include that no other character has an unlock code, and the game itself is a giant homage to Castlevania artstyle and themes from the SoTN era.

I imagine the chance to drop was added more as a insurance that someone figured out Ex-Dash exists, in case noone discovered the code.

If you still feel it's cheating, I would kind of just forget the character exists, and maybe you get lucky. Likely, you won't ... ever... unless you want to put tens of thousands of hours into this game, but maybe you like it enough that you will. You are going to have to treat it like the literal lottery. Except when you win, you don't get a bunch of money. You get some pixels that perform very slightly differently than the previous pixels you had unlocked.

I would recommend not basing self-accomplishment off of arbitrary grinds and gambling, but habits are hard to break I understand.

For context: It's kind of an obscure reference, but have you ever tried to get the Pink Tail in FFIV? It has a 1/64 chance of dropping from a Pink Puff/Flan Princess, which have a 1/64 chance of spawning without special items. My math is a little rusty, but I think that's about 1/4096 chance of dropping. I've spent tens of hours trying to farm pink tails (for some reason) and only ever got 1 without using the siren.

That's still 16 times more likely than unlocking Exdash with a little clover.

If you don't really care about using or unlocking Exdash, that's fine, but if you want to do it in your lifetime, or at least before you get bored of the game, you might want to just use the code.

I don't get how hoping to get a character by waiting for the rng gods to bless you would give you a feeling of accomplishment. Its like walking around outside hoping a bag of cash falls out of the sky and lands at your feet. Its highly unlikely to happen and you're going to waste a lot of time hoping for it to happen. Just enter the code, its not a cheat, nobody will know or even care how you get exdash.

the fun thing you will probably have picked up more than you have thought. Just check your luck and if it is at 40% or more when you have no clover then you may have picked one up

I was wondering if maxing luck before picking up clovers will have any effect on the chances on unlocking Exdash?

The thing is, it's not like a cheat code sort of thing. The code is a reference to SOTN, because there are many Castlevania inspired things in this game.

For those that are aware of the SOTN code, putting it here gets you a secret character, it's like putting the konami code in. It's not cheating just because it's a code, it's just one of the intended methods.

If you want a decent chance of unlocking him you only need to gather around 150000 clovers.
So that's just about 10 hours of playing... if you find a way to generate 4 clovers per second.

Of course if you are simply a normal human with exceedingly high luck, you'll maybe find one every minute, so that would only take around 2400h of non-stop playing.
I'd estimate out of all players who ever played this game there's maybe a few dozen who have unlocked him by chance. And I'd say none of these people unlocked him by choice, but because they didn't know better...
