Weapons(besides holy wand): Phieraggi, Unholy Vespers, garlic, laurel and Vandalier(last one is optional tbh)
Passive items: Empty Tome, Spellbinder, Bracer, Duplicator, Tiragisu(for the Phieraggi), Crown(optional, i took it because i selled my Curse upgrades before the fight)
with the bible* id try to keep the AOE bonus as minimal as possible ..
(i ve beaten this Map with that build first try in hypermode btw with all the revives and most of the rerolls remaining)
Edit: Try to get all the powerups from the other achievements first to get more rolls and all the other stuff
Focused on levelling up Celestial Dusting and getting Soul Eater ASAP. Once these were more-or-less maxed I then just grabbed whatever. Gorgeous Moon is good to collect every XP gem around you, and it deals with the Drowner easily.
Vesper + Santa water + scythe + penta.
why do you want less AOE?
Best is subjective. It's not going to get the highest xp possible. It is however lazy mode. Game plays itself.
I tried to do several Lama runs today and they were constantly hampered by 90% of the time the only weapon in my build that actually showed up was axe, with certain weapons like Pentagram and Song almost never showing, let alone enough to help with the early waves.
It's hard to figure out a build that can consistently work with high curse and oddly consistently bad loot tables.
Definitely agree on this. I'm on my 5th try with Ramba with only 2 being actual fails (within 10s on hyper with curse powerup). The rest are resetting because the rng is so bad.
I got first go with Pugnala (both norml and hyper modes) and rng didn't seem bad then, but I think having the guns already made me not realize x.x
Garlic makes the early bullet hell a lot easier to deal with, but isnt needed (although doesnt hurt) at the end.
my prorities looks something like:
Magic wand
fireball
santa water
then whatever. Garlic, cross, axe, cherry bomb are all good. Honestly, it doesnt even matter which skills you pick so long as at least 3 of them are getting +3 bounce. Thats enough DPS for the final minute usually.
A base class that either starts with a multi projectile skill or has +3 to projectiles (probably bone guy or panda for synergy) is great, although did it with the dog that poops flowers easy enough.
(fire wand)-whip-magic wand-axe-laurel-cross
spinach- hollow heart-empty tome-tiragisu-candelabrator-clover
started with XIX heart of fire, even tho i think XVI slash would have been better, last choice is kinda watever I took XI waltz of pearls, VII or IV, even VI should be fine.
I went afk when i got all skills max level.
Because the creeps get easier through your bible ring in lategame then (especially in the last 60 seconds) and ur garlic becomes a bit useless
Edit: i mean u could go for song of mana instead of vandalier then you should be fine with aoe buffs but to upgrade it u need curse, so ur enemys get stronger too even tho u lvl faster. But the endgame really matters id say and then ur max leveled anyway.. you could pick the curse skull and banish it when u get to lvl it up the first time
