"Hurry" Mode
Enemy spawn change twice as fast. (aka harder wave) but I think player kill speed (exp gain rate) remain as the same since the weapon doesn't fire faster. "hurry" mode feels more like a "50% less exp" mode. >_>

Yeah, I don't get it. It says on the map selection screen that Hurry reduces the time limit from 30 to 15 minutes but the stage still goes on for 30 minutes.

the "in game" clock ticks faster. that's why... "new & harder" enemies shows up faster. but...
you don't kill faster
you don't kill "more" enemy
so you basically end up fighting harder enemies with less levels.

but when you see the preview of the stats for the level, the timer shows 15:00 in blue. Not 30. I don't understand. Also the waves seemed normal.
I don't see why anyone would use it to be honest

But everyone wanted the game to be harder.

To farm gold on Library.
aoe weapons will kill the waves faster.
Yeah basically i was confused at first too but it basically is a 30 min game per normal but the time ticks quicker so it finishes in 15 mins ( just seems odd since the timer doesnt reflect that ). my assumption for it being done that way is to not having the dev have to recreate a new enemy spawn pattern for a different timer for those stages. So yes you get a quicker game but it would require some tinkering to make new waves and boss timings or difference for the new time. So perhaps down the road it can be its own unique thing but for the short term id gather is gonna be like that so it may not be the most ideal mode to use unless you just wanna blow thru games quickly or challenge yourself? lol
TBH I'd rather it just double the speed... in it's current state it's largely useless
I think the misunderstanding is that the in-game timer literally ticks twice as fast, which means that when it shows 30:00 at the end, actually only 15 minutes in real-time have passed. Which isn't immediately obvious when you're concentrating on the game.
Maybe it would be clearer for the player if the in-game timer always shows real-time, but it's probably easier to program the current way.

It's nice if you wanna kill specific enemies without wasting too much time (i.e. bosses at minute 25 or the green reaper for unlocking Toastie)
it seems like a good mode to use the Extra Secret characters on since those ones are usually a bit OP.
A mode that basically helps to unlock stuff faster.
You get less xp, less gold and have less levels to beat the same waves. So,... nothing great, apart from being faster for unlocks.

Were people having difficulty with unlocks?
Maybe the point of the mode is not for money or exp or grinding or unlocks or achievements.

Maybe it's just for fun.
