Since the game is made with Electron, it's possible to play it natively (on Arch at least).

- On Arch, install the "electron15" package from the official repositories.
- In the terminal: cd ~/.steam/root/Steam/steamapps/common/Vampire Survivors
- And run it with: electron15 resources/app

If you're on another distro, download and unpack latest Electron 15 binaries, then add them to your PATH: https://github.com/electron/electron/releases?q=v15&expanded=true

To preserve saves, copy the contents of "~/.steam/root/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1794680/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/Vampire_Survivors" to "~/.config/Vampire_Survivors".

Steam achievements, overlay, etc will not work using this method. If you want your achievements, copy the saves back to the compatdata location, launch the game and hit Sync Steam Achievements.

Guys, according to the last update, the Dev said :
"Mac and Linux builds
They're currently being QAd, so please expect them to drop sometime soon! "
If I correctly understand : wait & see !

Hi, just update my solution. (version 0.2.7d - EA)

My system is Ubuntu 20.04

In the Library, Right click "Vampire Survivors" -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Tick "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and select "Proton Experimental" -> General -> Launch options, type "PROTON_LOG=1 %command%"

Then download the game. It works so far.

I use this config, but instead of experimental I'm using proton 6.8, running Zorin OS 16, works perfect.

The public-beta branch has a Linux build, and it works flawlessly for me.

Save carried over from the non-beta Windows version I was running via Proton.

Just here to say that it does work for me on Ubuntu 21.04, with "Proton experimental" and the "PROTON_LOG=1 %command%" command (without the ").

The performance is probably much slower than on windows, but it is totaly playable and keep the progression after restart. \o/

Awesome game !

I'm using Proton 6.3-8 for mine (with the proton log command) and it runs like a charm, no performance issues at all.
