Games like this??
I'm addicted out of my mind just 100% it and I was wondering if theres any kind of rogue lite like it. Addictive, huge power curve and just a blast to play. Someone recommended Nova drift but I really didn't like it controls felt stiff. Any one have any suggestions for games like this while we wait patiently for more content

I tried really hard to think of something like it too but its very unique despite all the obvious influences. Risk of Rain series is about the closest I'd say I got to it in terms of having a wealth of characters, builds, item to unlock and waves of enemies so thick your PC will cry, also has co-op and challenges which offer persistent upgrades to characters and the runs can be endless with that feeling of just stacking items on items on items to the point where your screen melts with numbers and damage. Im hoping for this endless element later with this game.

In terms of just one man indie style of game, the "Ubermosh" series was the first game which came to mind, again though very very different, in that the game is arcade, much more skill tiered, much more bullet hell and the main mechanic is slicing bullets. extremely cheap to buy if it does strike you as something which you're interested in. The dev sells his games very cheap, £1.52 for the 9 game pack and they all review as positive.

a forgotten roguelike is

it however, never gets to the insane levels as this game does, and things do shoot you... a lot

IMO it's similar to SNKRX in that you auto-attack in both games, only controlling movement yourself, and your aim as you level up is to synergize your items/abilities as much as possible.

This is a complete and difficult version of the same type of game with tons of different weapons, powerups and enemy types.

Nobody has mentioned Hades yet?? Best Roguelite out there imho

It has everything Vampire Survival has, but also a kickass story with great voice acting.

Dead cells is pretty great, though the game play is totally different.

Free, and also is about surviving for a certain amount of time (about the 13 mins it takes for the song to end), but a bit more twin stick shootery.

Maybe Skelly Selest is sort of like this game... not in every aspect of gameplay, but it's an arena-style combat roguelike:

It's literally almost the same gameplay loop and the same perspective. It also shares many of the same genre tags.
