Does Ebony Wings block the other bird if acquired first?

[Assume I have 400 Ping]

I'm trying to get the two birds for their new evolution. Whenever I pick up Ebony Wings, the black bird, I can't for the life of me get the other bird to appear. Even with luck and even deliberately avoiding new items for as long as physically impossible until forced to select a new one.

Two 30 minute games and no white bird. Maybe just unlucky but man. That's like 60+ rolls of the dice without a single white bird.

Why would that make sense to you? If both birds are required for the evolution and others are saying they got it, how could they possibly be mutually exclusive? It's just RNG.

While i do beleive you are right, technically the ebony wings could block the white one from spawning, but the white one could still allow the black one.

Nope, just unlucky. i've had a few games where 2 open weapon slots arn't filled until the 25 min mark and still didnt get the ones i wanted.

and i've had both combos gotten white first then black, and the other way.

Just unlucky. Got the achievement last night by getting the ebony bird first then the white one. It took 2 games and only saw the white bird at the very end of the second game

I actually thought this was the case, yeah. I looked at the items as Good Bird / Evil Bird and going Evil would prevent the good one from appearing.

We already know there's item combinations / requirements for evolving items why is it unreasonable to assume there may be combinations of items or prerequisites for normal levelling items too?

I've managed to get the two birds twice now. Both times it was when I got the white bird first and then the black bird showed up not too longer after.

A lot of circumstantial evidence like the above and it makes you wonder if there's a reason for what you're experiencing.

Could just be bad luck on my part as well, but I was unable to get the peachone (white bird) at all in the forest. Got it immediately in the library though.

Ebony Wings does not lock out Peachone.

It took me 3 minutes to figure this out.

Grats you got it within 3 minutes. I haven't had this specific combination in that specific order in the last 2 hours. Sue me about it. Grats your RNG is better.
