How do you open the coffin?

I've been standing on it for a long time now, and I only have like two minutes and change until death arrives. And I don't have laurel or time lance, so death will be instant...

Kill all the knights and then touch the coffin.

Kill the guards, run over it.

Not sure how it opens, but somehow I got it opened. It's a new character with a new weapon so hope it opens for you. I stood on the coffin for maybe 10 seconds before it opened, but not sure if it was damage based or not as I had Evolved Garlic + Evolved Bible

Yeah I had killed all the guards, and I was standing on it for like two full minutes. I was running around it as well, but I guess the hitbox to actuaute it is just finicky. I finally got it to open though.

Me, too. I was standing there and standing there, killed all the mobs around and new mobs were already there. But nothing happened.....

I didn't bother with the knights, I juked them and ran in and touched it, got the achievement and died

This was possible in Beta, as I did the same thing, but one of the Beta patches and production patch changed it. You have to kill the knights.

If you think you've killed the knights and it's still not opening, you should check all around the area because they are subject to knockback and I've found them pretty far away. They won't unlock their back and forth so you can push them back pretty far and never see them again.

It took me some time but just keep running over it. It does eventualy unlock just like a bosschest. Maybe the knights where knoked/pushed off screen.

does that mean I'm playing the beta version? why? I just got the game today
