Teams only consist of 3 characters. At least in the current build of the game being shown off. If you could fit 4 or 5 characters, the matches would be way too long.

Yeah, my mistake. I'm watching a video about ranked matches right now, and apparently the various characters in the game will have a cost associated with them.
Stops people from loading up teams with all the strongest characters.

Raditz
Nappa
the 2 best Vegetas and 1 of the best Piccolos for the ultimate 3 man. Piccolo control will be annoying af if played correctly.

Also, if you want to do a fusion, I think you need to have both characters on the same team. Like taking Goten and Trunks into battle so they can perform the technique together.
Once again, this would prevent players from loading up their team with too many high tier fighters, if by forcing them to take the lower tiers in pairs.
