"Short lived"? Xenoverse is still getting DLC 8 years later...
Short lived? XV2 came out in 2016 and is still getting DLC.
Dragon Ball FighterZ got 3 seasons worth of DLC. Tekken 7 got 4 seasons of DLC. Street Fighter 5 got 5 seasons of DLC.
If anything fighting games have had longer life cycles than they used to have years ago or would you rather go back to the days of when Bandai would release a new Dragon Ball fighting game a year apart that wasn't much different than the previous game?
Measly 4 years? A fighting game lasting 4 years isn't a bad or short thing.
What are you considering "not short lived" by comparison? World of Warcraft?
The game absolutely is a fighting game.
This game's gonna be solid. It'll have the same community as the PS2 games and will be alive for many many years.
People will be doing private lobbies. But we all know, this game is gonna be more popular on consoles then PC.
