It's an educated guess. There's no precedent that the development will ever continue nor is there a playerbase to present the game to. Some state otherwise, some look at the factual numbers and see what's happening.

Some have been saying that this game is dying off a year ago and some have been living in denial.

It's what it is OP, not a joke but a really well educated guess.
