The main website says that you wont be able to have a ship of any significant size to simply run alone. It says that you will need a combination of AI and player groups to sail some of the main ships in the game. I don't play in groups with people other than maybe one or two on occasion. Even if it does, I don't believe it'll survive. Right now it really just seems like vaporware, can't find any game-play videos, just engine renders circling ships.
