It's OK. This is basically QIX where you cut out boxes and stuff to defeat the enemies and get points. Some puzzles have some good ideas for level design and how to navigate them efficiently for maximum points, while and others feel too hard thanks to the bosses ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spamming.

I will say the music and voice acting is absolute trash it was painful to deal with I ended up playing on mute and just listed to my own music which is actually a blessing is disguise as I was listening to the new Ancient Death album Ego Dissolution and let me tell you this albums the ♥♥♥♥. This slaps harder than my dads belt folks. Very forward thinking with lots of twists and turns with the songwriting. Morbid Angel meets Starspawn-era Blood Incantation riffage, but it also veers into death/doom territory at times and even some gothic influences with the clean vocals that show up around the middle. Definitely in the running for top 10 album of the year.

Oh yeah QIX game is decent but its soundtrack sucks and has boobies so yeah.

I've never played any of the games referenced on the Store Page so this type of gameplay was very unique and new to me. You take your little ship and make lines to cut out parts of the picture that aren't exposed. While doing so, any enemies caught within are destroyed. Enemies have all sorts of unique attacks and patterns and it is completely up to you which strategies you use to either stay away from them or cut them off faster. Unique spots on the map might give you bonuses or trigger effects. While you are within your own area, mostly you are safe so you can plan your next move and you can move along any of the lines you have already drawn. Super fun and unique gameplay.


I was a little worried about this game going into it because I wanted to play for the gameplay and not the pictures. I was worried that the pictures shown were just the beginning and it would get worse. It doesn't. Some of the things the ladies say, the innuendos, make some light implications but there is nothing here that is super risqué. I cannot speak to any of the dlc content that I have hidden as I have filters turned on my account to not show overly sexual stuff.


There are 4 stages per female you are attempting to save, 3 of which are different enemies with bosses and then 1 final stage where all the bosses are together (the most challenging one). Altogether you have 32 stages before you unlock arcade mode. I played on medium difficulty and beat the game in 3.8 hours while unlocking about half the achievements. It was challenging at times but once you understand the game I didn't find the content on medium to be frustrating. The better strategy and techniques you use the easier the stages are.


Controller support worked like a charm.


Nothing to speak of. No freezing, glitching, saving worked correctly, no crashes, everything functioned as it should in the game.


I think NAISU did a great job on this game. While the story was a bit absurd, it did move the plot along adequately describing who you are attempting to save and why they need saving. Some of the characters say the same thing too often but some of the voice lines are generally funny and well done for how absurd the game is. The core gameplay described on the Store Page as "A popular gaming style in the late 1980’s, Mokoko X looks to resurrect the soul of the arcade genre while adding a modern touch" is very accurate and well achieved. I never experienced this back in the 1980's and it was completely unique to me so I'm glad I had the chance to play it.
