Chasing Sunsets is a high quality, traditional, choice-driven AVN. Currently, Chasing Sunsets has 8 chapters, and will eventually have 10 chapters total. One playthrough (8 chapters) took me roughly 20 hours.

I consider Chasing Sunsets to be a top-tier AVN, one of the greats. There’s a lot to like about this game, so first let’s discuss the good. The renders are high quality (i.e., realistic & detailed) & the women are beautiful, especially Jaye & Mallory.

Chasing Sunset’s NSFW content is one of its best features. There’s a lot of high quality, NSFW content, including many hot sex scenes. Plus, the NSFW content make sense within the context of the plot. Moreover, Chasing Sunsets has the best writing during sex scenes of any AVN I’ve played or am aware of. I also love that you can have flings if desired and also pursue a relationship with Jaye or Mallory. Also, there is a gallery to view past sex scenes & sexy renders.

Another positive is that there’s an interesting, well-developed story & plot & excellent pacing. Plus, the game is fun & interesting. Moreover, the game has good writing. There is character development, concise & compelling writing that makes sense within the context of the plot, plus correct grammar & spelling.

The game does have sound effects, & they do they make the game more immersive & enjoyable. But the game could use more sound effects. The game’s music is basic but effective. The music consists of simple, background mood music but it works & makes the game better. Continuing, the game has decent replay value. Your choices have consequences, but there are only 2 LIs (Jaye or Mallory) to pursue. Thankfully, Jaye & Mallory are well developed characters. The game goes for quality over quantity & I agree.

The game does have basic features like the ability to have multiple saves, to name your saves, & to delete your saves.

Chasing Sunsets does have some flaws, or things that some might consider to be flaws. For example, it’s unrealistic that Jaye, a red head, would have tan skin. And it’s unrealistic that the game’s characters have perfect bodies but the game does not show doing anything to obtain such amazing bodies.

Personally, these issues did not bother me. I’ll choose fun over realism any day. I’d rather fantasize & enjoy a gorgeous girl with a perfect body rather than a more realistic, less attractive girl.

Also, some large parts of the game have no sound effects, such as when the MC is in the snowy Colorado wilderness talking to Mallory. It would greatly improve the game if sound effects were added here. As well, the game’s explanations of genetics often get too technical. Most of us are not experts, so we’d prefer a simpler, not so technical explanation.

In conclusion, I strongly recommend Chasing Sunsets, especially if you prefer quality over quantity, fun over realism.
