43 different opponents on a ranking system well how many times do you have to beat the say top 20 as they are the ones that are a challenge and will be repetitive fast
Tekken comes from PSX era. There was no online play. So saying that "it was always online" is just a straightforward lie.
Offline play IS important. "grinding ranks against CPUs and learning the game by having fun without the stressful (and sometimes painful) feel" that's what I like in fighting games. To play against the CPU and learn each character while having fun in a relaxed way. I do not compete, I already have my job for that.
I agree with you.
I don't want to do 300 steps. I just want to do select a game mode and start fighting against random enemies endlessly until I DECIDE to leave the mode (just like treasure battle was). And to gain points to level up my rank each time I defeat an opponent.
Arcade Quest is lazy and boring.
You already can do exactly what you are asking for.
You can access ghost battle from the offline menu.
You go in there and challenge one of avatars and fight, OR, go to the Arcade machine in the middle of the room and pick your option:
-Downloaded ghosts.
-Fight your own ghost.
-Fight CPU ghosts (I counted and they were about 80 or so), you can even pick which one you want to fight against first).
All of this takes mere seconds!
You fight the first CPU ghost, and from there you have the following options:
-Next (you get to pick from 3 opponents, like it was in Tekken 5 and 6, it even tells you which ones you have beaten with the fist icon)
-Rematch
-Exit
The only thing missing is you are stuck to whatever stage you picked first. Everything else has more options that Tekken 7.
I recommend clearing Arcade Quest, it is not that long anyway, if you do, you can unlock a couple of interesting ghosts ;D
You're assuming I don't. When the very simple reality is, I would never have bought this game for more than 25 bucks if it was just for solo modes and for when friends/family dropped by.
Hell, I would've definetly stuck to the Jolly Roger version.
