Im so glad that I did not buy the game...

As title says, I am so glad that I did not buy the game... And why you might ask? Well, many good characters missing, OG characters have insanely huge muscles all of a sudden and game looks more like Street Fighter than Tekken... So just to point out some things that I genuinely hate about the game after what I saw on YouTube...

Characters:

Zafina - nobody asked for her, almost noone plays her on regular basis, dumb moveset, ugly character over all.
Leo - soyboi that nobody plays as, I have not seen anyone play as him, mainly due to his useless move set and the fact that he looks like an 8 years old child and speaks like one too.
Shaheen - seen only a few arab people play as him since he was introduced in Tekken 8, since then, nobody played him at all. Once again, looks dumb and very odd and dumb move set
Azucena - who tf is that? Overly happy hipster looking character that is supposed to appeal to whom? Normies that go to starbucks every day and do tiktok videos on the way there and back?

So to all these characters, I think they should have been removed instead of the ones that suffered the faith to be removed... Ganryu, Julia, Anna, Eliza, Noctis, Lei, Armor King, Fakumram, Akuma, Kazumi, Heihachi, Lucky Chloe, Eddy, Gigas, Katarina, Josie, Bob, These were removed too but I kinda dont care about those Marduk, Geese, Negan, Master Raven, Miguel.

I want them back and those 4 listed above removed... Its ridiculous to remove such amount of characters and charge 70 bucks for the game... From what I have seen, 2.5D fighting game runs much worse than Cyberpunk 2077, DLSS Balanced, RT Psycho, Path Tracing ON, Frame gen ON, all ultra/psycho... Yet Cyberpunk was 60, offers more content, better graphics and is over all better so there is no point to charge 70 bucks for a fighting game... In my eyes despite being excited about Tekken 8, the game is such a huge dissappointment as everything that was released recently starting with Baldurs Gate 3, Starfield and so on... Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is going to save the day cuz I do believe in that game to be good... But Tekken 8 is dead... Palworld was unexpectedly great game that offers more content than Tekken 8 and its just 30 bucks (was 27 on sale)...

Also what I dont understand why male characters received such a muscle mass buff... Hwoarang looks disgusting, Law looks like a buffed zombie monkey and Paul looks like a hobo from the future... IDK what happened to the game but this is just sad and I much rather go back to the old games than to play this...

Also, from hearing in game VA, its all reused, animations reused aswell and it seems like Tekken 8 alpha with Tekken 7 reused assets and minimal effort... That game should have been a DLC to Tekken 7 for 20 bucks... Not a standalone game for 70 bucks... Also soundtrack took a massive hit in the grave... Worst Tekken soundtrack ever... And it seems like Tekken 8 is much more noob friendly and benefits button mashers more than people that know combos from previous titles...

So comment whatever, hate on me and whatnot... This is what I think about the game, 0 effort to its development, cut characters to maximize profit from DLC's, bad soundtrack and reused voice lines and animations... 0.5/10 (mainly cuz of them removed characters, I could turn off the music and play OG Tekken beats on YouTube, not being able to play Lucky Chloe, Lei, Eddy, Heihachi and Julia? That is what pisses me off the most...).

ps: note that till this point I have owned every single Tekken game on PlayStation where Tekken 7 was the only exception on PC... I aint going to buy Tekken 8, not until them characters listed above are added to the game for free...

Dead or Alive being dead and SF6 and Tekken 8 being more alive than any fighting game has ever been despite low IQ coomers crying "woke" and whining female characters aren't hot or their clothes aren't skimpy enough every single day on thir forums is proof games should stop catering to that crowd anyway.

What people dont realize that I might not played the game on my own but I did watch YouTube cuz from what I saw in previous big releases, I had to think twice if I even want to support AAA game devs for what they do... Tekken 8 is basically a reused Tekken 7, decreased perfromance, visuals worse than Cyberpunk for what it is, good, fun and nice looking characters removed, dumb looking and annoying characters added, OG characters overbuffed with muscles... 70% of intro, outro and combat voice lines, noises and animations were reused from Tekken 7... So before you paid 60 USD for Tekken 7 that was actually a good game, now you have to pay 70 USD for something that just has converted assets and barely runs 60 FPS on all ULTRA and DLSS performance in 2.5D enviroment meanwhile Cyberpunk runs at 90 FPS all ultra/psycho, RT Psycho with path tracing enabled, DLSS balanced and frame gen enabled... Sorry but Tekken 8 is another disaster of a release and those whom like it, they do not value their money and if people like this keep buying games, we aint gonna get anything good so you do you but I rather play games like Palworld now and wait for FF7 Rebirth cuz I know that game will be something that I will enjoy playing for much longer.

Your game of choise might be poor, I wont judge that you bought something that is bad, hence you should stop judging that more people dont like the game for what it is.

About Azucena... Heihachi was actually cool OG character, his shouts were iconic... Azucena seems like a character for younger audience and I would be fine with her as long as the characters that were removed were still present and I could just get over it and never play as her... But removing Anna, Lucky Chloe, Lei and so on? That is just sad and to buy Tekken 8 just to play Alisa and Ling Xiaou is not worth 70 bucks for me, sorry... Its like if rockstar removed ability to drive a car in GTA VI, everyone would be pissed...

20-30K players aint massive by any measures... Doesnt even look like they sold more than 500K copies since release... Why Palworld, unfinished early access indie game sold more copies? Cuz they made something that players wanted from Nintendo to do and Nintendo did not do it... When I look at Tekken 8 steam charts, it keeps slowly declining, not rising... 46K all time peak is also ridiculously low for a AAA videogame... So dont tell me that if the game was all built from ground up and as good as everyone claims, those numbers would not be much higher for whatever it could have been... People like you buy bad games and try to defend their poor investment with dumb arguments like "who gives a sh*t", clearly millions of players do that could be playing the game but they wont cuz its just not appealing anymore... Just wait when something new comes out and then we can talk... Nintendo is going to be crying about their failed attempt with Pokemon Legends Arceus and that Palworld did it better, I bet that there will be some indie game that will be similar to all these 2.5D fighting games, offer much better content and wont be just a cashgrab with 0 development effort...

Also, I bet that you have never played Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken 3 and so on... And even if you played some of them, I can assure you that I have much more hours in them games than you... Tekken 3, Tekken 5 and Tekken 7 were the best ones... That being said, Tekken 9 might be actually good if Bandai Namco is going to follow this pattern of theirs... I did not include Tag Team Tournament games, but I consider them as a side game like an addition to the main game, doesnt mean I did not like them... Tekken 8 on the other hand, different story... No intention to buy unless it goes for 20 bucks on sale and even at that price I would feel like my money got stolen...
