The perfect game to get into fighting games is SF6 and its World Tour mode.
Tekken 8 is a really great game, but if I started with this one, I probably would've ditched.
This game at its current state still has a lot of "bs move" unless you learn how to properly sidestep, duck, or be patient and respect the frame. T7 also have + frame but not as oppressive as T8 and without properly learning the basic and lots of learning and losses, I don't think you will enjoy it that much... if you want flashy move however T8 I think is great. and it being the new entry obviously the graphic, and stuff is good as well...
not talking about fighting games, i mean new to tekken. im a fighting game enjoyer, but not a xy axis enjoyer.
ah okay, i think this sort of answered my question.
If you are familiar with fighting games you will be fine. There are plenty of bad players that play Tekken. You will likely find yourself ahead of the curve if you play fighting games frequently.
