I'd be happy with a stable 60 FPS @ 1440p. I actually have the recommended CPU (i7 8700k) but am rocking a RTX 3090.

I think I'll be good.

I'll post here if it works.

A 3050TI is much better than what's listed.

You may say that, however these developers under SE rely a lot on Vram(which is why 6GB is required) I cannot get Chrono cross to run on my system because of it - it crashes at the beginning f the game the moment I change zones. Thus all I can see is this game crashing consistently due to lack of VRAM

You can play in 4K.

It might not be. I still suspect they're over estimating GPU spec for recommended category but it isn't that exaggerated.

As mentioned prior the RTX 2070 is basically an upper entry level GPU in late 2022. If you look at Final Fantasy VII Remake it recommends a GTX 1080 which is not significantly weaker than the RTX 2070. Of course, the recommended resolution for FF7R in recommended is a bit higher but not 4K and it doesn't make clarification what this is targeting. Meanwhile, Star Ocean The Divine Force is explicitly claiming this will get you approximately high settings @ 60 FPS for 1080p. We also don't know if performance will improve upon release after patches.

Then again it could be a disaster upon release. /shrugs
i hope not. i really want to play this one.

what is the specs for 1440p if 720p is 1060 and 1080p is 2070 will my 3070ti even run it in that reslution

Anyone know how much quality of cpu Fan matters for the cpu on a game like this?
and does anyone think Nvidia will release a driver update for this game ?

Rtx2070 is not really a high requirement, but 16gb ram minimum is weird, will see how this run when it releases.

3070ti for 1440p? you telling me this game is going to be the benchmark of all gpu's for the next 5 years? XD
Renka Oct 22, 2022 @ 7:36am
i'm guessing that there's no DLSS/FSR, hopefully the game will allow more than 60FPS and use multiple threads from the cpu for a smoother experience

You should have enough VRAM for Chrono Cross with your 3050 Ti. From what I've read on there (I don't have the port, myself) the cause of the error isn't fully known but the most common problem is it tends to default to an integrated GPU thus failing... so check that. Other than that we've seen ample reports of even RTX 3090 / Ti with ample VRAM getting it. If all else fails you could try some basic Google-fu and see if anything works including some people reporting SpecialK helping though the creator isn't sure why SpecialK helps in this case, at least yet as the issue isn't fully identified.

I'll check out that mod, I was told to set the game to my graphics card in the settings, however it does not read it as a program at all, so I cannot add it to the list.

i sure hope these specs are place holder, no way it's asking this high for minimal specs, I wanted to try out a star ocaean game and was pretty excited for this one that looked really fun but im scared it wont be well optimized. (probably why we didnt get a demo on steam??)
it's asking more than FF7R , cyberpunk or elden ring what..... (im not a PC expert so idk)
