I'm sure more star ocean will come to steam in time. Likely whenever PS5 remasters are done steam will get em too.
I'm holding off for a pc release.
Integrity is actually the 5th. And it's not very good at all since it was obviously made on a tiny budget compared to 3 and 4. It's a pile of neat ideas but none of them get great execution.
It is probably a fickle reason, but I seriously stopped playing very shortly into the game cause they used the same in combat weapon model for all weapons the characters got. That just ruined the whole feel, fun and drive to get stronger and world-shattering powerful. And I even got the Collector's Edition lol
Wrong though, Star ocean has never sold well and 5 wasnt any worse off than anything previous. You just wanna meme about it, which is fine. 5 isnt that bad.
I actually really enjoyed 5, being able to take my full party to battle, with maybe a better implementation of 4's blindside combat mechanics I think it would have been a cherry on top.
If it comes out on steam I will buy star ocean 5 with zero hesitation.
No doubt, all of these games are developed on pc's in the first place
Leave it to Square-Enix to continue the SO franchise, Tri-Ace totally botched 6. Star Ocean 2 remake looks and plays really good, so at least there's good news for the series overall, but 6 is just dog crap.
Yes, the demo surprised me positively even though I have no nostalgia for this series.
I thought about whether I should buy SO6 or SO2r and decided on SO2r. I'm excited.
SE is getting involved? I think they were partially involved before but it would be nice to see SO get the budget it deserves. Although I don't know what they were thinking with SO6. I never played SO5 since I don't have consoles since the wii lol
