new updates from 2023?

Ever since adobe bought substance painter and designer I don't want to pay the sub fee because I'm paying triple the amount and I'm not ok with that. This is the 2022 version, but do you still get updates for this in 2023? and is it going to be getting supported and If i buy this on steam do i get to keep this version and use it forever?

No, the support for this version has ended in 2022 (as such the name) and the next version ("2023") is likely to come out "soon", my assumption would be around Februari. Keep in mind that the next version is most likely going to be more expensive than this one.... same thing happened with Painter 2022 vs. 2023.

But yah, you'd get a perpetual license when bought on Steam and you will keep it. For example... Painter 2022 isn't available on Steam any longer and yet I can still easily use it (edit: but I won't be getting any updates for it anymore).

Exactly, the developer stated version 2023 should be scheduled to be released by January 31st, early February at maximum.
Hopefully the price won't rise too much from what it is now, possibly the same like Substance Painter 2023, which is (in euros) € 145.99

well its 3:32pm EST so Its not coming out because steam store gets an Update everyday at 1pm EST and there is no page for the game so I don't think it will be coming out today.

Does anyone know if they have the release notes available anywhere yet? The last version on the Substance website under Documentation is for 12.3 from October.

Today it's the release day of Substance Designer version 12.4, so hopefully they'll do like with Substance Painter (8.3) and release this latest version here on Steam as well. It would make sense at least.
