I am in the same boat, I would love this game... if it has actually been fixed.

i am having crashes every time...just downloaded a mod (cause the game was crashing on a cutscene...) and it didn't fix the issue. So now I have no idea what to do.

It never got improved. It's still one of the worst UE4 games on PC for stuttering.

(I bought the game on EA's app because I had gamepass at the time so that meant I had EA play which meant 10% off)

There has been one more patch that released 2 months ago since that video. I haven't bothered to re install to see if made any meaningful difference. I strongly doubt it.

Tom Peterson at Intel seems to refer to that as a "Simulation Timing Error".

It seems that Epic is blaming Intel for their problems.

Its such a shame to hear it runs so badly. I just got fallen order for £3 and I'm really liking it, it runs really well and looks great all on epic settings.

I hope they fix this eventually. why does it run so bad, did fallen order run badly when it first launched? Is there hope they will ever fix this?

It will never be fixed. The engine doesn't support their vision. Fallen Order is a series of corridors and the game runs fine. They tried the open-world style in this one and the game isn't capable of processing it. Obviously, all the corridor areas still work fine.

It was just a case of "Well, it's broken but we have to release it anyway"

There is one "corridor" that does not work fine on my rig, and that is the inside of Pyloon's Saloon.

The engine may not support their vision, but the "open world-ish" portions of the game do seem to be within the limitations of the engine.

I have more difficulty with the population of an area (CPU), than the geographic area (GPU). That said, for some reason looking out upon empty space at an observation point on the Shattered Moon does tank my frame rate. I'm thinking it was some lingering FPS cap from a cutscene.

What a shame I am surprised this was not a priority to fix. I really wanted to play this game. I feel like the PC audience is a large block to not take care of.

Performance is still trash, stutters are still there.

3080 and I get max 30fps with lowest graphics, 20-28 with epic settings. and its a stuttery blurry mess

There is a Vulkan mod for this that removed all stutter.
