I believe the general marketing strategy right now is to sell the game at 70 bucks for "standard" edition, 80-90 for the Digital Deluxe Edition and have pre-order bonuses to push people toward spending full price up front for 70 bucks and whales spend 80-90 upfront.
Depending on how well the game did initially and the level of interest they'll have a 20% sale to bring the pricing back down to the normal price of €60 within the first six months of launch. If it sold poorly it'll be on sale well within the first three months at 20% off. For the first year on a big name title that sold moderately well(Made it's money back) they'll sell it at 40% six months after if it's a big sale time like Christmas. I would say this will go on sale for 20% off and Christmas will be 40%.
If the games sold really badly and got a very bad name for themselves(Not just for performance) they'll put it on sale in the first month to two for 20% off and by the six month mark have a sale for 40% and by the years end 50-60% if it sold very badly.
If a "Live Service" game is coming to end of life regardless of how well it was or wasn't, it'll be on sale for 60% off as they ramp up interest for the next installment.
