Priorite shards - just cosmetic?

I've just found my first "vendor" and everything they sell is purely cosmetic.

Are priorite shards of any actual use?

Doma sells one item that is not cosmetic. It's a door code to the door in her shop for 10 priorite.

You want it.

There are three other vendors you'll run across in the game and each accepts a different kind of collectible so no need to worry about saving Priorite for anything else. It's just for Doma on Koboh. Two of those other three vendors sell perks and/or perk slots, which are useful things that actually affect gameplay. One of them is all cosmetics.
