Sidestance was the pistol.
That was my combo through the whole game.
I did gun sword pretty much the whole game once I unlocked it. Hesitated at first because it was fencing style sword, but the gun is just too useful. You can two shot storm trooper shields, droideka shields, mini gunner shields with the charge shot. Same with those Hoth style probe droids. You can charge it while dodging too. It also locks on extremely well to enemies without using lock on. So I could often get the drop on fights by basically sniping.
I play on Jedi Grandmaster
If you really like lightsabers that much the crossguard is the second most powerful stance, you can shred everything with couple of hits but it's slow so high risks high reward
It's equally as important to before pursuing the tougher fights, find as many stims and Force Essences as you can. This will allow you up to 12 stim heals, and Force Essences that increase Force power will make Slow attacks last longer.
It is also very helpful before facing tougher enemies to get all your perk slots unlocked. There are perks that work well with Blaster Stance too, one that makes Charged Blaster shots more powerful, and one that increases Saber damage after Blaster shots.
A charged blaster shot is the only thing that can stop some of the toughest, so called unblockable red highlighted attacks in the game, including Oggdo's tongue lash attack. Of course they won't work on enemies wielding sabers though. A steady diet of a charged shot, then saber strikes while stunned to replenish blaster ammo though, is pretty powerful against most enemies.
Is there a bit of meta to each stance i could read about?
