Dash Not Working on Keyboard

I can only do the dash maneuver with my Xbox controller. It won't work on the keyboard. Left shift works for running and fast swimming but not dashing.

set controls to default to be sure
remap the kep. Mine is on a mouse side button for edxample
or stick to controller if you like that better.

Controls are already default, side buttons don't do anything.

I'll just stick to the controller for the dashing parts.

Shift isnt the dash key. It's tab, I thought the same until I had to check the controls.

PC gaming includes steering wheels for driving games, joysticks for flight sim, and controllers for console ports. If you wanna use a keyboard for everything, well this is PC and you do have the right to use ONLY the keyboard in Quake deathmatch, it's just gonna be a bad experience. For you anyway. The other players love free points, and probably even started spawn camping. New fangled mouse lookers get off my lawn... Shakes fist in air...

Game plays just fine on m&k. Just needs a few adjustments to make it comfy.

Your not wrong about quake though.

I'm pretty sure I hit the right key, just not working.....

the game was not meant to be played with a keyboard. but a xbox 1 controller
