My game keeps crashing when the first space-ship flying mission starts...

I'm enjoying the gameplay, the FPS is decent enough on my RTX 3080 GPU and 5950X CPU, but the game keeps crashing in the exact same spot in the campaign for me. At the time where you get into a spaceship to fly-away for the first time. Hope this can be fixed in the upcoming patch so I can continue this game.

think ive got the same problem in the same spot, tried setting everything to low to see if that would some how help get past the scene - it doesnt. I've got an XPS 9520, not exactly a gaming machine but was working pretty decent up until this point.

I had made it to the final Hyperspace jump, and then took a break until sometime after Patch 4 dropped.

Come back to the game and I am got my first crash on the final hyperspace jump, and then every 5 minutes afterwards,...

AMD Ryzen 7 and AMD RX 6600.

Crash in the exact same spot without considering frame rate drops and shuttering

I have wait several patches before play for give you the chance for fix this ******* but man are you kidding us?

This is unacceptable.

I have pre-order this game because the first i really like it and i wanted to trust you by paying you in advance as good faith, it will never happen again.

ps: Now I can't even request a refund because more than 2 hours of play have passed.

Mine crashes on the spammel two different spots and then after killing the machine it just crashes. Never had any problem before the update.

Same here. My first crash at exactly the same place! Didn't have this problem before the last update. I experience this crash only because I restarted a new game and now I can't continue because of this crash...

Also crashing in the exact same spot. I've tried literally every fix out there, now I'm going to restart so I can turn expo and my OC back on because knee capping your system is actually something EA recommends. Just garbage all around.

Solution: Toggle off or on ray tracing. it fixed my issue and I haven't crashed since.

can confirm this works for whatever reason this fixes most crashes, downside is the hit in fps
