Unable to dismount "orb coupler" in Devastated Settlement on Koboh...

Is anyone facing this issue? I am unable to dismount the "orb coupler" once I use it to remove the Koboh matter from the up-draft vent. Cal just ends of stuck on it and no keys work at all but the game is not frozen? Is there a way to bypass this, am I doing something wrong? If this is a bug it's game breaking since I can't progress anymore - I have to reload the last save game

hit your evade key and it should get you off the coupler. had the same issue but finally figured it out
