it's a bit better, but there are still some stuttering. Also RT is still worse.
Shader compilation is still present unfortunately.

This issue went away for me. The galaxy map now works better for me.

No. At least def not fully. Respaw/EA have acknowledged this. In the patch notes this was one of the things listed as being a known issue / being worked on.

"Improving some hitching which can be attributed to streaming raytracing data, assets, and a gap in our prebuilt shaders."

Also the game shouldn't be doing that "compiling certain files" screen every single time you launch it. After a GPU driver update, or game update yea. But not every single launch. And as Respawn acknowledged it's not even compiling all of the shaders or all of the ones it's supposed to be compiling at least.

Depends heavily on your PC so I'd say no. None of my machines have stutter and they are at 55-75 frames depending on monitor resolution. Keep in mind you can also have issues where you cannot even run the game!

No. With Rt much worse

True I am seeing quite a few posts about crashing. The EA app says I have a little over 31 hours playtime and I have had 1 crash.

Though I'd honestly love to see a video of the game running stutter free (truly stutter free, a locked 60 FPS and frametime). If you use any trainer for this game it can enable the developer debug menu. This of course has some performance overlay stuff you can turn on. Including a debug overlay showing how the game is streaming data in and out.

You can find the areas where the game loads in and out different data and everytime I cross them the game hitches. The most recent patch made a noticeable improvement for me but it's def still there.

I'm in the process of saving up to upgrade my CPU (which of course means new mobo, and DDR5 as well) to replace my 8700K. But I've seen videos of people with the latest intel or AMD i7, i9, or r7, r9 and 4090 get stuttering and not be able to keep a locked 60 FPS with consistent frame time.

Well i'd still upgrade if you want to, it's only this awful game that I have issues with ,stutterings still happens post patch with a 4080rtx, I7-13700.

Also, I had no crashes for 38 hours as I only stayed on the first planet exploring, as soon as I went to the 2nd, it kept crashing at the sames place. Now I cannot progress in the story! Unacceptable for a £60 game.

Yikes (in regards to the last part). I'm almost at the end of the mission where you rescue... you prolly know who (on Kobo). Fingers crossed things stay smooth stability wise. I have seen more than one post where someone accidently sequenced breaked in some way (without cheats or anything like that) or just having the game jump to what I think is the final story quest only ~20 hours in because they did something out of order.

And yea this is the only game that stutters like this on my PC. Using debug features you can turn on with a trainer you can see when the game is loading in or un loading assets and that's exactly when the hitches and fps dips happen.

Heck before my 8700K and 3080, I had a 3700K and GTX 1080. Sold both to my cousin who is still using them and has no complaints (obv he isn't maxing settings but we often play co-op stuff together and he said he's had no problems). But obviously that's quite old. So I'm going to sell him my 8700K, Z370 mobo, and 32 GB of DDR4 3200 (8GB x4) to him for $200.

I have noticed what seems like a memory leak. I thought the performance on the broken moon was borked even after this patch. But I had been playing for ~5 hours, Was getting ~35 FPS. Re launched the game, same exact spot, same view, settings etc. 60 FPS.

I didn't think to take a shot before re launching but it happened again tonight. Played ~5 hours straight. Perf in the area I was at went to trash. From 60 to ~35. So I saved and re launched. Same exact spot, same settings, 60 FPS.

https://i.imgur.com/dWT1w47.jpg (FPS meter on the right, it's the stock UE4 FPS counter, you can enable the dev debug menu with any trainer for this game).
