116 GB Patch?

So Steam is installing a patch for Jedi- Survivor right now and it says it is 116GB... anyone knows if it is going to be over the 150GB of space the game already takes? If so, that's crazy. Or maybe the game is re-installing? :( pretty bummed, wanted to play tonight.

It's probably re-downloading every file effected by the update rather than patching those files with the update. I'll have to check for myself later.

Just checked, mine already updated in the background and files are 130GB in the EA Games folder. (I own it on EA APP). Might be worth your while if your not already downloading to try to verify files first and see if that's less as I'm unsure if I had the same download size. (9MB/ps)

I think the patch is only a 6.7 GB download, took me 20 min. to get on my slow internet.

The patch is applied to the whole game, hence the giant size after you finished downloading.

the patch is only about 4.7 gb, the game then has to unpack (usually making a copy) patch the relevant files; then repack its not actually downloading 100+ gigs

Ok! Different process, the first patch was about 4GB it went very fast ans that's it. I guess this time is different.

no other game does this though when they patch...I'm not happy seeing my SSD go down to 3GB and almost dying on me if that's possible. Good thing this latest one went down to 11GB only cause I think I got rid of a 20GB game to "free up space" in case of updates to this game

Every update i need to basically redownload the game??? bc thats what ive had to do every time now
