so when it wants to patch 4.4 gb with the other 160 gb of files it needs to temporary make another 160 gb map to update the files so it can compress itself again back to that 160 gb with the updated files? so cause of that the 31 and 63gb isn't enough even combined???
I'm just guessing but if that is the problem try getting minimal 180gb of free space on a drive and see if it works.
When they are replacing a lot of the game files, yes. The issue is basically when they first unpack the update they have old.file x 1000 + new.file x1000. The switch the locations of old and new, confirm the new files work, and then delete the old files.
