When will they finally fix the game and make it playable?
I feel like I’ve been scammed. I bought this game at launch, and of course, I couldn’t play it as it was meant to be played back then. My mid-range PC, with an i5 13th gen and a 3060, can barely run the game. The awful performance issues like low framerates, ugly texture streaming, and stutter lag have been present since day one, and they’re still here now. Even though they released Patch 9 to boost framerates by removing DRM, the game still suffers from melted clay-like textures and stutter lag. I just don’t understand how they managed to release such a broken game. With every update, the problems seem to multiply. I mean they've had years to fix the game, yet the issues remain the same? I truly don’t understand how they’re working. This has to be the worst PC port I’ve ever played in my life.

its EA ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game performance is their "speciality".
I have an rx 7800xt 16gb with an i5-11400f. ALL other UE5 run like a charm on native resolution, except this one. 4k ultra hits 15gb vram, and they don't use lumen and just a rudimentary ray tracing technology. At least the game runs great with ray tracing turned off, it really is a misused feature. I don't understand how this was supposed to run on consoles if it was this badly optimized.

Nope that was the final patch, see Digital Foundry's appraisal of the patch where they conclude maybe when CPU's are 2 or 3x faster the game will be playable.

Steve Jobs had to apologize for 2x or 3x faster being an impossibility back in 2005.

We've had some various optimizations to the x86 CPUs since then to improve performance, and dynamic overclocking using Turbo and Boost have pushed the limits of physics.

However, it would seem that Moore's Law is dead. It is inconceivable at this point to imagine 2x to 3x faster CPUs at any time in the future.

my game used to crash every 15 minuts on the clock regardless of settings, i then upgraded my CPU and aded ram, alot of it, the game no longer crashes, so the solution is aperantly to have better hardware then the minimum requierments.

That sounds like grounds for a class action lawsuit, which due to the posted Minimum Requirements might constitute illegal advertising in some districts, and as such be exempt from Arbitration legalese which per Federal law can only legally apply to "controversy".

Much of the crashing remaining is likely due to memory consumption. The game advertises an 8GB of RAM Minimum Requirement, which when testing on my Steam Deck seems inaccurate.

Other users at the high end have reported even higher RAM utilization in correlation with higher VRAM on their GPUs, which spills over into the Windows Page File the game times out and "crashes" while waiting for Windows to expand the page file automatically. Those users recommend manually managing the page file for the best experience.

Myself, I opted for 8GB of VRAM paired with 32GB of RAM. The 8GB of VRAM should have been sufficient for 720p, and the 32GB of RAM should be sufficient to ward off crashing related to memory leaks on games targeting a 16GB console. Doesn't work for the Master Chief Collection, and Jedi: Survivor's Patch 5 was brutal regardless of memory consumption, but I digress...

When will they fix the game? Good joke. They are lazy developers who are not going to put the time and effort into it. 1.5 years have passed since the game's launch and most issues are still present - that says enough, really.

Liar! I have 4800 build that runs everything else on Ultra without even so much as a stutter. This game hard crashes, it's broken merch and they don't seem capable nor willing to spend time and effort fixing it. With just over 2 hours in the hard crash after hard crash started. I had to dispute the charge to get refund because Steam would not hold themselves nor EA accountable for selling something that simply does not work and could possibly damage your hardware.

Moreover its likely not a coincidence that it takes just over 2 hours to finish the first area and its right after that the crashes start. I'm convinced they patched it just enough to get past the 2 hour policy that Steam has on returns. Fortunately for me NC Law has some consumer protection laws that allowed me to dispute the charge and get refunded much to the chagrin of Steam.

Unless you are in the US, this is not true.

In most countries you are entitled to a refund regardless of time played if the product is faulty and steam has been fined before for misrepresenting Consumer Rights: https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/valve-to-pay-3-million-in-penalties-for-misrepresenting-gamers-consumer-guarantee-rights

Still a broken piece of garbage. The devs should get doxxed, charged with a crime and then never work again.

I played the game just fine with my i7 and 1070 TI GPU. But I also don't mind FPS in the 30-60 range unlike everyone these days that think they need more.

I don't mind a locked 30 FPS.

I mind if it changes between 30 FPS and anything higher. I can get used to a solid, locked, perfectly flat frame rate. The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time ran at 20 FPS on the N64.

However, if I get accustomed to a higher frame rate that is infinitely preferable, then anything below 40 FPS in the same session becomes atrocious, abysmal, and claustrophobic.

20 is "good". 30 is good. 40 is good. 60 is great. 90 is perfect.

28-30 FPS range is playable. 36-40 FPS is okay (put it on a console). 45-60 is good. 55-60 range is great. 75-90 range is Perfect.

30-60 range is horrendous, far too wide a ratio between high and low (1:2).

Jedi: Survivor has been a title which has been extremely difficult to get to a stable flat frame rate.
