How to install the walking mod
Hi everyone,
I found a mod that lets you walk in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and I wanted to share a quick guide to help others install it. It worked great for me!

Required mods:

HeroMotion (walking mod)[www.nexusmods.com]

Mod Loader[www.nexusmods.com]

Steps to Install the R457 Mod Loader and HeroMotion Mod:

  1. Install the R457 Mod Loader:
Copy the SwGame folder from the R457 Mod Loader package to your game directory:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor
This will add the mod loader to your game installation.

  2. Verify the Mod Loader:
Launch the game. If installed correctly, you should see the message "R457 Mod Loader Active" on the loading screen, indicating the mod loader is working.

  3. Install the HeroMotion Mod:
Download the HeroMotion (Pak only version).
Extract the mod files (zHeroMotion.pak, zHeroMotion.ucas, and zHeroMotion.utoc).
    Copy these three files to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Content\Paks

  4. Configure the UserEngine.ini File:
    Go to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Config
Open the UserEngine.ini file (or create it if it doesn’t exist) and add the following line:
    +ModsToLoad="HeroMotion"
    Save and close the file.

  5. Place the UserInput.ini File:
Copy the UserInput.ini file (downloaded from the HeroMotion mod) to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Config

If the mod does not work, try overwriting the entire content of UserEngine.ini with the following:

;For mod users: don't change anything in this section. ;For mod creators: R457GameMode_C is a child class of SwGameMode, it shows the greeting message and spawns an instance of R457ModActorSpawner_C. [/script/enginesettings.gamemapssettings] GameInstanceClass=/Game/R457ModLoader/R457GameInstance.R457GameInstance_C GlobalDefaultGameMode=/Game/R457ModLoader/R457GameMode.R457GameMode_C ;For mod users: follow the instructions from the readme of the mod you're installing to activate it. ;You can add ; at the beginning of the line to temporarily disable a mod you don't need without removing its packages. ;Don't forget the plus sign at the beginning of the line when adding a mod! ;For mod creators: this is the main loader that spawns all the mod actors based on data assets provided. ;If you followed the folder structure described in the readme, you can link your mod using a user-friendly name. ;If you prefer making your own folder structure, you can provide a path to your mod's data asset directly. [/game/r457modloader/r457modactorspawner.r457modactorspawner_c] +ModsToLoad="HeroMotion" ;For mod users: some of the mods can have user-configurable variables, follow the instructions in the mod's readme to add and edit those. ;For mod creators: you can set your main mod actor properties as config vars to make them user-editable. [/game/r457mods/heromotion/r457modactor.r457modactor_c] bHoldToSprint=False DefaultHeroSpeed=350 SpeedDelta=50

Start the game, and if everything is set up correctly, you should see the HeroMotion mod name in the top left corner of the screen during loading, indicating that the mod is active. Use the mouse wheel to adjust your walking and running speed. It does not affect Steam achievements. I hope this helps as much as it did for me. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Enjoy walking in the game!

How do you do this with the trooper outfit mod? Is there a way to find the path code to a mod manually if they don't put a readme into the mod?
