I went into the nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings > program settings (I had to add Jedi survivor)
And then changed these, I’m pretty sure for me it’s a VRAM issue or lack of, but this help me some, textures still pop to ps1/2 textures but the trees actually turn into trees instead of staying as weird floating blankets
Let me know if this helps, or if you find a full fix, other than VRAM, I believe I have the minimum system requirements on my ASUS FLOW X13
It fixes the game completely but the fps cost is high
My conclusion is this:
Whatever the latest patch 9 did has broken the texture of the game. On corrusant everything works well, textures are amazing, everywhere else it breaks. I have never been able to play on epic settings before, but now I can. Ray tracing almost always crashed the game, now it works no problem.
I believe EA has made a massive ♥♥♥♥ up and broken their game.
Check: disable fullscreen optimization
Check: run as administrator
change high DPI settings
Check: override high DPI scaling behavior
I got this from a YouTube video and did end up un-checking ‘run as admin’, I just felt like the pop up notice would cause some stutter at start up, in terms of gameplay, these helped a little to make it smooth, my character looks blurry most the time, the bogglings’ look like they have mange, the nekkos fur is weird, but the environment, enemies, lighting, and effects seem to run well. I haven’t had any crashes on this yet, I did buy the game on Xbox one x and if you play that game for an hour or longer you better save often with all the freezes and crashes. But, for has broken as it is, the story and the fact that I only bought the games on sale make me want to still try and fix it. I’ll let you know if I try that mod, but for now I might tough it out this way and hope “the force” will help fill in the graphic/visual gaps, or help me let go of the AAA expectations that fuel me with anger and resentment.
And I’ll keep up with any other changes or tweeks I make in on this chain, in hopes that helps the majority of us having issues narrow down fixes.
