Controller input malfunction
When I press left stick to sprint it brings up the map. it's also reading my controller like a keyboard and the sensitivity is off. I have over 40 hours in. very frustrating

The game starts windowed now instead of full screen. They also added something where if you add the ea launcher to the steam library as a game that it cuts you off from playing jedi survivor claiming you need an update

This typically happens to me if I forget to turn off Steam Input for a supported game or leave the Steam Input as keyboard/mouse emulation for an XInput game. (This was fixed by turning off default controller settings in Steam. Now, it makes a best guess for each game and usually does it fine.)

Can't be certain that this is the issue you're having, but it reminds me of an issue I used to have.

OK look what I did
1. In steam - right click on game > properties > Controller - Disable Steam Input
2. Add As non steam game EA Desktop.exe and disable steam input for this app also *(just to be safe)
3. Disabled on screen keyboard in gamepad layout
4. In game options I'm Unbinded all keyboard functions that may interfere with Controller Layouts
