If you have to compile shaders every start-up do this
Go to:

1. "AppData\Local\SwGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor"

2. Open: "GameUserSettings.ini"

3. Scroll down to the last line:, (LastOpened=SwGame), change the text "SwGame" with "Test".

4. Save the file.

5. Right-Click and set it as "Read Only" and save again.

The game should start 99% faster.

Why does the game compile shaders every time? I will try this though, thanks

Update: This works, not sure of the negative consequences of bypassing the shader compilation though.

Any fix for DLSS Frame Generation randomly (and frequently) ceasing to work (fps drops to 28 FPS) only fix, which is temporary, is to turn off DLSS Frame Generation until your FPS comes back up and then turn it back on. I'm on Jedha and it's literally exhibiting this behavior every 3-5 minutes, it's so annoying that if there is no fix for this then I'm officially done with this game.

Don't know about that issue, I guess, it is just not optimized. Strange isn't it? Other than that, it is a very good game.

I had another crash after returning to the archives on Jedha after the "Rescue Brother Armaias" mission during the cut-scene with Cere that happened in the exact spot after reloading a save and then the DLSS frame gen bug persisted but got really bad back on Koboh at which point I realized I was spending more time troubleshooting the game than playing the game and so I'm finally done with this garbage.

It is such a shame the game is in such a state for players. Do you have a PS5? There it worked flawlessly for me, but I wanted to try it on PC.

I don't know what its doing but I don't think its compiling. The compiled for quite a long time when i first installed and when i updated my GPU drivers, as you expect it to. Now, although it tells me its compiling, it takes nowhere near as long. Takes maybe 20-30 seconds now.

I agree it probably shouldn't be happening at all but i'm wondering whats actually going on.
