Rtx 3070, still horrible performance
Literally no matter what I do, the frame rate is still horribly low. It's hard to enjoy when its not smooth. Maybe It's my cpu though, idk. It's a ryzen 5 3600. But idk, all my other games work fine. But I am playing on 1440p so, is that it?

Just shows how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a job they did. I don't know if its still not optimized properly, or the engine they used.

try setting textures to low. that could help

Try these performance fixes found in a review on steam:

"There are two essential performance mods that give me smooth 60fps on Koboh (the worst performing planet for everyone) and over 100 frames in other areas.
1. SWJS- Fixes and improvements
https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/247
2. Native resolution and blurry screen fix
https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/74
^^These two are a must for playable gameplay. I went from 40-55 fps on Koboh on High settings (no RT) and massive stuttering to 60s-70s with the mods and the 100s when I enabled Frame Gen.

3. No more TAA and native resolution
https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/9
Jedi survivor doesn't natively use your full resolution, this mod fixes that.
4. The annoying shader compilation that happens every boot can be toggled off by this mod:
https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/63"

I also had a Ryzen 3600 and RTX 3070, but I played on 1080p (or 1200p to be precise) and performance was kinda ok, but not optimal , I installed these patches and upgraded my CPU at the same time, so I'm not sure how much the patches helped, but now (with a Ryzen 5800x and the patches) it's a lot better, still got ocassional fps drops in certain instances though, but mostly 50-60 fps in 1440p with all settings on max (+ raytracing), now I also upgraded my GPU and will try with that, also in 1440p...

Can 2. and 3. be used together? I always thought they were the same
Voxel Apr 27, 2024 @ 11:39am
Hm I thought I installed both, but now that I read what they actually do it seems like your supposed to chose one of the two, one disables taa, the other doesn't, else they are the same.

I understand that the TAA generates a blurry image in most Unreal games, and that is why it is disabled

I have a 4080, 7 7700X, 32gb RAM, and the game on a high speed SSD.

I play at 4k, so I'm slightly concerned.

Use the "May the Performance be with You" mod on Nexusmods and this one:

https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/247

It should run pretty well after that. Otherwise, it won't use the full potential of your system and it will also stutter when loading a new effect every time.

5800X3D and 3070 here.

Some-what stable 60 is doable. Currently playing at 4K DLSS Balanced.

Just need to set Visual Effects and Particle effects to LOW for a CHUNKY uplift in FPS with minor downgrade to visuals.

Here's my proof: https://imgur.com/1bzMDMG
Zoom in to read the details of the capture.
